I awoke in the cold snow. Gabe had started to cry. Close or far, I couldn't tell, I heard voices. "Do you think they're alive?" a girl's voice asked. "How am I supposed to know?" "You're the older brother, so you'll supposed to know." "Help?" I mumbled. "He's alive!"
Something felt warm. I slowly opened my eyes. A big yellowish orange light source was in front of me. I heard Gabe laugh. I turned. A middle age woman was sitting in a rocking chair, rocking little Gabe. "You two have a lot in common, you know." I tried to rise. "No, no, settle down," a middle age man said, pushing me gentle down. He had shaggy brown hair and blue eyes. "Wh-where are we?" "You're in Alska, sweetie. What in the world were you thinking, going into the snow?" "Is he okay, Dad?" the same girl's voice asked. A girl my age walked in the room. I looked over my surrondings. We was in a log cabin. I was laying, in like twenty layers of blankets, on the floor. A boy, about 16 years, walked in. He looked a lot like his dad, but smaller in size. "He's going to be okay," the dad said. Gabe laughed. "We were ex-exscaping the Commity." "The what?" the girl asked. "Commity. You know, like Alska." "No, not like Alska. Alska's a huge state, dude," the boy said. "Well, you two are welcome here," the Dad said.
