I recieved the inspiration for this one-shot when I heard that Skrillex's mother had died 2 days before he made a song I love. Thank you for reading.

Goodbye

The light had been so bright, so blue. Blue like the sky, blue like the ocean, blue like water. Water. That was it, that was her. She was water, and water was her. All she was and all she could be was water.

Her clothes the color of water, her people the children of water.

Water

Water

Water

Water

It fills my thoughts, haunts my dreams, and heals my wounds. Why? Oh why does water do these things? The only thing worse than water would have to be fire.

Fire

Fire

Fire

Fire

Now that is all that I think of. Red, a deep red, and blue. Why was the fire blue? Why did she soil the way things were? You do not mix red with blue! Yet she did, and look what happened.

She was evil, her soul was black. Black. What is black?

Coal

Darkness

Holes

No, nothing is black.

Why did she do this? What did she gain from this? She used blue!

What is this falling on me?

Water?

Yes, water. It is blue.

Blue like her.

Blue like love.

What color is love?

Is love red?

Is love blue?

Is it green or white?

I saw love, the color of her. Our love was blue. Blue and white.

Yet she ruined it with blue. Blue! It is ironic.

What is the color of sadness?

Blue?

A shame sadness should be blue.

Blue is beautiful, blue is shining, blue is love.

Yet blue takes away just as it gives.

Why am I thinking these things, why is this happening?

To me! To the Avatar!

Aang clutched Katara's body, and sadness poured into him. He looked up at the sky and saw nothing but blackness. The rain from the heavens fell onto him like a thousand angels weeping over the loss of one so beautiful, one so blue.

Azula stood with pride, observing her kill. The lightening from her fingers had struck Katara straight through the heart, immediately killing her.

Death had taken her quickly than life had given her.

Aang was crying, tears mixing with rain had fallen onto the ground.

He thought he heard Azula say something, but it was lost in his thoughts.

Blue. The color of love, the color of sadness, the color of her.

Aang looked down at his hand, the tattoos shining.

Blue Aang thought is the color of power.

Standing up, Aang began to glow blue with a radiance that almost blinded Azula if she had not closed her eyes and looked away.

Aang turned to face her, a look of rage and sadness in his eyes.

Azula gasped, looking around for a way to escape.

What have I gotten myself into? she thought.

Aang blocked off all exits with earth bending, trapping her in the fire nation courtyard with no one but her, Aang, and Katara.

She took Katara! Aang thought. Or did he say it? No matter.

Aang looked at Azula, and the thoughts of preserving life and the safety of souls escaped his mind immediately, filling his mind with the most primal instinct there was.

Kill.

With the flick of his wrist, Aang send an air gust flying at her so quickly, she didn't even know she was being attacked when she was sent into the air.

When she was many feet in the air, Aang flew up to her body and slammed the edge of his elbow against her stomach. Sending her flying to the floor and cracking her spine, multiple other bones, causing massive brain hemorrhages, and puncturing almost all of her major organs.

She was dead the instant she hit the floor.

Aang looked down at the dead princess and felt content. He flew back down to the ground and disabled his avatar state.

He was weary, oh so weary. And couldn't keep himself up on his legs.

He fell down and crumpled on the floor. Closing his eyes, the last thing he saw was the blue of her dress, the blue of the water spilling out from the pouch at her side.

Blue

Blue

Blue

Blue

The last thing he saw was blue.
