Beck groaned in pain as he punched himself. Jade walked into the room and gasped. Her eyes opened up wide in shock.
"Jade..." Beck cried grabbing the arm that had just hit him.
Jade just stood there in shock, not knowing what to do and if she could even do it, not knowing if she'd be able to move. All of the muscles and bones in her body stood still.
"Go. Leave..." he told her and waved his hand.
"No," she shook her head and walked over to him.
Beck shook his head and sighed. Jade reached her hands out for his face, but he hit her and she fell back onto the floor.
"Beck..." Jade cried out and held her stomach as she struggled to get back up.
Beck bowed his head ashamed and backed away from her.
"Stop it!" he yelled at himself.
Jade just stared at him like he was crazy. "Beck?"
His head snapped up straight and stared directly into Jade's eyes.
Her eyes widened as she realized Beck wasn't acting like himself... this guys standing directly in front of her, looking into her eyes right now, wasn't her Beck anymore.
She just knew it. His face curved into a horrid grin and Jade opened her mouth in shock.
If she weren't so shocked she'd run away right now, but it felt like she was standing ankle-deep in a huge ice cube. She looked at the door and prayed for her body to obey her demands.
To run, run, run, but it just wouldn't budge. Beck's horrid grin grew even bigger and he ran towards Jade.
Move, move, move! Jade begged and begged, but her body still wouldn't move.
Before she knew it, Beck was right up in her face and his hands gripped her shoulders.
Jade screamed, but it was far too late. He had already taken one hand off of her shoulder and it was placed forcefully over to and onto her mouth.
The air streamed out o Jade's mouth through the holes in his hands from his fingers.
She struggled, finally finding the control of her body, and tried to get away, but Beck had her stuck now in his powerful hold.
"Beck, let me go... What- What's going on?" she cried.
Beck's smiled faded and he slowly stepped back, but still held onto her right shoulder very tightly.
"I am not Beck..." another voice boomed from Beck's body.
Jade swat his hand off of her shoulder and let out a cry of pain.
"Ow, Beck, you hurt me!" she yelped.
Beck bowed his head again, just like before. "Sorry... Jade."
Jade slowly backed away and Beck's head snapped back up again.
"Run!" Beck yelled his warning to her.
Jade obeyed, but where was she supposed to run to?
She thought and thought as she ran away and finally decided at the last minute that she should run to their bedroom and hide behind the bed. She ran as fast as she could to the bedroom and slammed the door behind her.
She didn't think to lock it and just ran to the other side of the bed as fast as she could and hid behind it.
"Jade..." Beck started.
There was a big thump, like someone had pushed another person against a wall or the floor or something, and then silence. Jade held her breath and listened as quietly and calmly as she could.
"Claire! Get back here..." the other voice yelled.
Beck pushed the bedroom door open and stood in the doorway scanning the entire room.
"I know you're in here Claire!" the unfamiliar voice screamed.
Jade slid herself quietly under the bed and closed her eyes and tried to slow down her and quiet her breathing.
A few footsteps around the room were heard and then silence.
Thud, thud, thud... nothing. Jade opened her eyes. When had she closed them? Why?
Was it fear? None the less, she'd closed them and didn't remember how or why.
She listened closely. Nothing.
She let out a short sigh and finally those footsteps were pounding against the floor again.
Thud, thud, thud. Silence. Then thud, thud, thud.
Jade covered her mouth with her other hand and closed her eyes.
She knew that Beck, or who ever this was, was close.
