A raven-haired boy fixed his glasses that sat upon his nose. They were sliding down because of the sweat from the humidity at the Burrow. Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione were lounging around the lake in the Weasley's yard. Harry's shirt was sticking to his skin and his hair was matted down to his head, some part of it sticking up in clumps in random places around his cranium.
"It's way to hot here," Ron moaned. He stripped his shirt and dove into the lake, still clad in his shorts and boxers. Ron's head surfaced a moment later spraying everyone with water. Hermione got up and took off her shirt and shorts. A scar had found a home on her shoulder from the Final Battle with Voldemort. It showed under her bathing suit straps, and it was peeking out from below her hair. Hermione, being the smart and brilliant girl she is, put on her bathing suit instead of her regular undergarments. She took a running start and jumped into a cannonball, splashing the rest of the occupants of the banks. Harry got in next, then Ginny. They were having a ball, splashing each other, diving under the clear water then coming up next to someone and surprising them.
"Ahh!" you hear a strangled cry from Ginny. Laughing Harry emerged from the water with Ginny in his arms.
Hermione took this as an opportune moment to leave them alone together.
"I, uuh" she mumbled, "I'm hungry, Ron you must be starving!"
"Actually 'Mione," he started, "I'm not all that hungry."
"Oh no Ron," she said, sending him a McGonagall worthy glare, "I actually think you are."
"No 'Mione, I'm really not," Hermione sighed. Why did he have to be so oblivious! she thought, Whycan't he notbeso blissfullyunaware! It is cute sometimes though...
"Ron come on!" she said pulling him out of the lake by his wrist. She grabbed his shirt and passed it to him.
"But 'Mione!" he said, exasperated, "I'm really not hungry! Had a huge breakfast."
Hermione kept pulling at him. When they were out of sight Ginny realized she was still in Harry's arms.
Blushing a deep scarlet she turned her head away. Harry was still laughing at the ordeal with Ron and Hermione. Harry turned look at Ginny. She was looking at him now, their eyes full with understanding.
Harry inhaled at looked at Ginny. Her read hair was drenched and fell around her like a halo in the water, her brown eyes were huge, glowing, and had a flicker to them that Harry noticed instantly.
Looking up into Harry's emerald green eyes, and his hair sticking up everywhere, she sighed. The green eyes dancing, and his hair that she just wanted to put her hand up and smooth it out so it would lay flat.
They both knew from that moment on, there was no one in the universe they would rather be with. And being in each other's arms meant more than anything that had ever happened to them. They never wanted to leave each other, they could have stayed in that position for a lifetime.
