Chapter 1: Chance Meetings

In a quiet castle on an island in a far off distance, two young twin sisters were outside in the gardens. As one was reading a book under the tree and the other was typing away on her computer, an older gentleman was approaching the girls.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh! How could you do this? Why would you do this?" exclaimed the eldest of the young women who was talking to the older gentleman.

"Yeah, brother! We can't do this! Why would you want us to be so far from you?" yelled the younger twin.

"If you remember correctly, I am your older brother and your guardian. This is something our late mother and father would have wanted for you both. No more private tutors, you will be going to Domino High School. I believe that you will have an excellent opportunity at this school to choose what you want to do with your life, instead of going to a private or boarding school which technically was my first choice. I will set everything up to where you will live basically on your own. If you want a chef or housemaid, just ask and body guard is obviously a necessity," said the gentleman.

"Brother, how can you be so cruel? We want to stay with you! We want to be with you and practice duel monsters like we used to. We are fourteen years old! We are not children anymore! So stop treating us like children!" yelled the younger of the twins.

"Sister, it is going to be alright. If this is what brother wants, then we should abide his decision. I understand that this is what mother and father would have wanted. I would definitely not want to have to go to a boarding or private school with people who only look at your money. Don't worry, brother, we don't need a chef or housemaid. We will be fine, and don't get a huge apartment/house that is too big for the two of us. Cheer up, sister. After all, he will surely miss us! I love you, brother. I hope you know that," said the eldest twin sister as she walked away from her brother.

"When do we leave?" asked the young woman who stayed behind to chat with her sibling.

"You start school tomorrow. Everything is already set up. You will be living in a small house, since I know how you girls don't like big houses," said the young man.

"Master Pegasus, you have a meeting in 2 hours," interrupted one of the black suited men.

"Yes, I understand. I have to leave. I love you both," claimed Pegasus.

"I know brother. I love you, too," claimed the younger sister.

"Jasmine, are you angry with brother?" asked the younger twin.

"No, Jeanette. I am not angry with brother. My heart is crying for him, at his loss and his closed heart. How strange is it to see brother meddle in forces he does not comprehend? Yet he still makes a joke out of it," claimed Jasmine.

"Sister, I think all we can do is stay by his side when he is ready to admit his mistake."

"You are right! Like always!"

The twins stood at the balcony of the castle looking out at the sunset over the calm ocean. As they watched the sunset, a helicopter passed by caring Pegasus and his men to their destination. The girls with their long, wavy black hair that moved in the wind, piercing green eyes that looked in the distance, and beautiful tanned skin that seemed to glow in the sunset stared into the distance wondering what would become of them and their future.

It was finally the day for the beginning of their new school year at Domino High School. The girls were introduced to the freshman class.

"Students listen we have some very special students here. They are Jasmine and Jeanette Pegasus. They are the sisters of Maximillion Pegasus. So you all are to be on your best behavior and show them that they are welcomed. Please take your seats in the empty desks provided at the front of the room."

As the teacher continued her lecture on the topic of Domino City history, Jasmine began to daydream and look out the window of the classroom. The only reason the teacher had the front desks empty is probably because she wanted the two favorite students in the entire school to be carefully watched over otherwise brother would be very angry. These people never understand that we are just normal people! Ha ha ha Well sort of normal! Jasmine thought as she continued to look out the window. I wonder why Pegasus really sent us here. In doing so, our allegiance will lie with another. He should never have brought us here. Oh well this will inevitably be his undoing.

As the lectured ended, the girls began to get ready for the next lecture when a blond haired tall boy in a green jacket came up to them and began to introduce himself. "Hi, my name's Joey, Joey Wheeler. What are your names again?"

"Ha ha! I bet you do remember our names, Joseph Wheeler. It is good to see you. We have missed you, a lot. How are you, Joseph?"

"I am doing well, Jasmine. I see that your brother has finally let you off the little island. I missed you guys."

"Always the dutiful knight, aren't we Joseph?"

"Good to see you, too Jeanette."

"As always Joseph, the pleasure is all mine!"

"Joey, you know the Pegasus's twins?"asked a small boy with long spiky hair as he came up with a tall boy in a trench coat and a girl that wore a pink vest on top of a yellow button down shirt.

"Oh, hey guys. Yeah, me and the twins go way back since the days of my childhood. Here let me introduce you all. This is Yugi, Tea, and Tristan. And the twins are Jasmine and Jeanette." Joey said all this as he pointed to the small boy, girl, and tall boy.

"I see. It is a pleasure to meet you all. I….." as Jasmine laid her eyes on the small boy named Yugi, she came to see the millennium puzzle around his neck. As the puzzle began to glow, Jasmine turned around and ran out of the classroom. "Bathroom."

"Hmmmm. I guess sister is not feeling well. Nice to meet you all as well. I better go check on my sister. Please excuse me."

"Alright. I will see you guys later then."

"Yup, You can count on it, Joseph."

As the day came to a close, Joey insisted on walking the girls home to make sure that they were always safe. Indeed, Joey was very much a white knight to the girls. What the girls didn't realize was that the next day would be the most life changing adventure that they would be going on, but somewhere deep down the girls knew that their destinies have always been intertwined with the millennium items.
