The thought of Luke Castellan made Percy Jackson cringe. What more if he came back to camp? There was nothing about Luke that Percy liked, except the fact that he was friends with Annabeth before. Albeit, Annabeth still wanted to be friends with Luke Castellan, who is, might I add a traitor, a liar, and a worker for the time God, Kronos. Luke almost made the Olympus fall, but good thing, Percy Jackson had stopped him, like any other hero would try to do. But this time, Olympus wasn't in trouble, nor was his friends or camp half blood.
"Oh, come on dork. Fight back, sitzplinker. Don't be a wimp." Clarisse rolled her eyes in annoyance, and a sly grin appeared that was barely perceptible. But Percy didn't see this and just continued looking at Grover, who was jumping up and down, making a pantomime that Percy could barely comprehend.
"I don't fight girls, and I will never fight one. How many times -"
"Blah, blah, blah. You're such a boring, self-centered demigod."
Percy turned and ignored Clarisse, and decided to jog towards Grover.
"Hey, Grover. What's up with the entire pantomime thing?" I asked, and Grover widened his eyes, and shook his head.
"You won't like this Percy..." He said his voice barely audible.
"Won't like what?" Percy held into riptide that it seemed like he was ready to strike anyone even his friends, which was odd. He was nervous, and he didn't like it whenever Grover looked so uneasy. Because once Grover's uneasy, Percy feels a lot worst.
"It's not for me to tell you, Chiron wants to see you, immediately. He's going to discuss some things," he paused and looked around as if he was checking if anyone were to be listening. He leaned closer to Percy's right ear and whispered as low as he could. And Percy didn't move at all, as he waited impatiently for Grover to say the things that he has been dreading to hear.
"It's a top secret. I'm not supposed to tell you, really. Chiron wants to meet you, now."
"Okay," Percy looked at Grover uneasily. He could already feel the knot forming inside his stomach as he jogged toward Annabeth, who has been feeling quite sick.
"Annabeth," he called.
Annabeth's head turned. "Percy, have you heard the news?" her voice was timid and low as she clutched her stomach tightly.
"I don't know anything, can you please tell me? I can't seem to find Chiron anywhere." Even though he hasn't really tried looking for Chiron, he was that desperate to know the 'top secret.' He didn't like top secrets being hidden from him especially now that he has been saving the world.
Annabeth looked down, and then up to meet Percy's eyes and whispered as slow as she could even try to say it. "Luke is backā¦" Even though Percy didn't really get this, he looked at Annabeth disdainfully. "We know that he'll be back, so I'm not that really shocked." He said and managed to shrug his shoulders. But Annabeth shook her head, and sighed.
"You don't get it, he's not only back. He's coming here."
