"You got a death wish, pal?" said Devlin Chadwick, the gang leader. Below him is one of his gang members who is knocked out real good. In front of him, he is confronting a man who is Caucasian, around 30 years old, and in a bad mood. He recognized this man; his name is Cole MacGrath, the man who is accused of causing the Blast that killed everyone in Empire City. Luckily, Devlin and his gang survived.
"Nobody jumps on one of my boys for no reason and lives to tell the tale about it," continued Devlin trying to intimidate Cole for this action.
All he did give him is a grunt.
"That's all you gotta say?" yells Devlin, clenching his fist and ready to punch Cole. However, he gets a punch in the face as soon as his fist touches his face. He drops to the ground with defeat. Cole repeatedly stomps on him. Devlin's three members are horrified.
The first thug said, "Devlin's down! We gotta help him!"
The other two are scared that if they even think about helping their leader out, Cole will take them out in a worse way.
"Are you crazy?"
"No way I'm taking on that psycho."
Cole stomps on Devlin's face repeatedly until the ground between them is broken. He then faces the other members.
"Listen, you scum," said Cole. He looks really angry. "Do you see that?" He pointed his finger to the vase of flowers being knocked over by the grave of a young woman. "First question, what do you think that is? You, the one in the middle."
The middle thug is intimidated by the hero. "Wait, are you talking to me?" He looks sweaty of being questioned by someone who is greater than the cops. "If you want an answer, I guess it's somebody left those flowers for some woman who fell to her death from the explosion of the top of two buildings."
Cole then clenches his fists and starts to glow with electricity. He shoots an electric bolt to the thug.
"Wait a minute!"
He is then cut off by Cole's statement as he said, "Now the next question. That vase over there, why is it lying on its side?"
The right thug replies, "I guess one of us knocked it over while running away from the cops." He sees Cole is really anger of this. "Look, we—"
Before he could finish, Cole has fired two lightning bolts to the thugs. "You guys know how to answer right. Now go and apologize or else those flowers are gonna be for you!"
The two gang members hold their hands and screaming for mercy. They run off saying "we're sorry".
Cole is happy with this result. He saw the spirit of his deceased girlfriend, Trish Dailey, and said, "Are you okay, Trish?"
"Never been better, Cole."
"I'm sorry for what they did," said Cole, holding a vase of flowers. "Maybe next time, I'll get you new flowers. Oh, and I'm sorry I couldn't save you from Kessler."
Trish begins to cry even if she's a spirit. She remembered the time Kessler taking her hostage and placed her on one of the two rooftops. He then gives Cole a choice to either save her or the 6 doctors. What did he choose? The latter.
"It's okay, Cole," she said. "You're a hero of Empire City and I know you did the right thing. Now, it's time for me to rest in peace."
"Yeah, goodbye, Trish," Cole said as he tries to touch her spirit hand, only that it phases through it.
"I love you, Cole," was the reply coming out of Trish as she disappears to the afterlife, finally resting in peace.
