"ugh" Beckett groaned as she rolled over, searching the large bed for her partner but coming in contact with nothing but the cool sheets.
Sitting up and looking around the room as if expecting him to be standing in the corner. The sudden movement causing her head to pound and the room to spin.
"shit" she groaned again, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed not paying any mind to the pounding in her head until she tripped, landing square on her face. Once she regained her composure she sat propped up against the bed with her head held in her hands.
"Castle, can you come here!" Kate called out, not daring to move for fear of falling again.
"Kate, Oh god Kate are you ok?" replied Castle entering the room only to find his fiance in a ball on the floor, bracing herself on his shoulder Kate allowed Castle to guid her back on to the bed where he crouched in front of her, raising his hand to her forehead.
"Oh Kate honey you have a fever, here lie down and I will grab you some aspirin, ok?" Kate nodded while Castle tucked her back into the soft satin sheets, brushing her hair out of her face he bent over and kissed her forehead before exiting the room in search of the medication. Returning a few moments later Castle finds Kate curled into a ball, her hands gripping the comforter and a sheen of sweat covering her brow. His heart breaks a little with having to see her like this.
Walking to his side of the bed he crawls over to her, gently stroking her hair back. "Hey babe I have your aspirin" helping her sit up and handing her the small pill and a glass of water, he eyes her carefully watching her every move as she pops the pill into her mouth and drinks about half the glass of water before turning to him.
"You know I'm not going to break, it's just a small cold" she says leaning onto his shoulder for support.
"I know but you also know that I hate seeing you like this, I'm just glad you are accepting my help" castle says with a small smirk earning a smile from her before he helps guid her back to the pillow. Crawling in behind her and snuggling in.
"Hey Castle?" Kate whispers
"Hm?" Mumbles Castle,already on the edges of sleep.
"I love you" she whispers back, burrowing further into her pillow and drifting off to sleep.
"I love you to" replies Castle, still amazed at the women currently slumbering wrapped in his arms.
