Fairy BattleFront
Lucy woke up in a strange place, her head was throbbing and her mind was in a frustrating hazy state. "So you're finally awake, huh?" a girl with raspberry-magenta hair exclaimed, her green eyes looking inquisitively at her.
"Where am I?" Lucy asked, attempting to sit up. Looking around her, she saw Erza, Natsu, Gray, and a few other select mages laying on the ground- still unconsious. "What happened to us?"
"Well, to simply state it, you're dead and this is the afterlife." the girl replied, her eyes darting around as if she expected someone to ambush them. Lucy looked down at her hand, she was holding a strange black object.
"It's probably just a toy or something.." She thought, although she was almost sure it was a lot more dangerous than that. "Who are you?" the blond mage asked.
"I'm Yurippe, leader of the Afterlife Battlefront." Yurippe said, offering her a hand so that she could stand up. The Celestial mage fumbled around her belt where she knew her keys would be. THEY. WERE. GONE.
"AIEEE!" she shrieked, bolting to her feet and frantically grabbing at her belt as if thinking that they would magically appear. "MY KEYS! WHERE ARE THEY?! AQUARIUS IS GOING TO KILL ME FOR DROPPING HER KEY AGAIN!" she was a complete mess. Yurippe watched, slightly puzzled but not surprised. After all, people who first came to this world all really couldn't accept that they were there.
"Wait, did she say keys?" she reached a hand into her inner coat pocket and pulled out a jingling bunch of gold and silver keys, each marked with a different insignia. "You mean these?" she asked the rampaging girl. Lucy looked up for a moment.
"Yes! Yes!" she said, bowing to Yurippe again and again. "Thank you so much!" The Battlefront leader shrugged, though still confused and dropped the keys into her outreached hand.
"Let's show this Battlefront "leader" my real skills!" Lucy thought, picking out a key and yelling. "Gate of the Maiden I open thee, Virgo!"
Silence. "What's going on?" She thought. "Virgo should've came..."
"Umm.. are you okay?" Yurippe asked, a quizzical expression on her face. "What are you trying to do anyway?" The blond girl sighed.
"My friends-" she gestured to the others that were still unconsious. "And I are mages, we have different types of magic and I'm a Celestial mage." Looking up, she saw the pink haired girl was still giving her the same questioning look. "Okay, Celestial mages are able to create a contract with someone from the Spirit world. The Spirit can pass over when the owner calls them using the key OR if your magic level is high enough, they are able to pass over themselves." Taking a deep breath, she continued her lecture.
At the end of her long speech, Lucy sighed in relief and plopped down on the grass. "Okay... but what are you implying?" Yurippe asked, pacing up and down the sidewalk, her thinking mode kicking into action.
"MY MAGIC'S GONE!" the mage screamed. "How can she be so dense?!" Lucy thought, rubbing her forehead in a attempt to relieve some stress.
"Oh well that's simple." Yurippe said after finally coming to a conclusion. "Your magic is gone forever. We in the Afterlife live as normal humans, no magic is involved so whilst coming here, your magic must have been dispelled."
"No way..." The blond haired girl thought as she felt tears welling up in her eyes.
