Kurt and Blaine looked up at the loud slam of the front door. They glanced at each other and walked into the living room. "Katie?" Blaine frowned as they took in the sight of their daughter laying face down on the couch. She burrowed farther into the fabric. Kurt and Blaine knelt in front of her.

"What's wrong love?" Kurt asked. Katie shook her head. "Come on. You can tell us anything." Kurt urged. Their daughter sighed and looked at them. Blaine and Kurt gasped at the cuts on her lip and the remnants of a nosebleed.

"What happened?" Blaine demanded.

"Did someone hurt you?" Kurt screeched as he stood to grab the first aid kit. Katie shook her head.

"No one hurt me." She stated.

"Are you okay?" Blaine said softly. Katie nodded, wincing as Kurt dabbed at her lip. She sat up and revealed scrapes on her hands and knees. Kurt tutted in concern. "Want to talk about it?" Blaine asked. Katie bit her lip.

"I tripped in the cafeteria. I ruined my shirt with grape juice." She informed, unzipping her jacket.

"Don't worry hon. I can get that out. Although it looks like the grape stain was made worse. Did you scrub at it?" Kurt asked in distaste.

"No. Thomas did." Katie replied. Her parents smirked at her. She glared at them. "Stop it." She huffed, removing her jacket completely.

"How'd you get the other stains on your shirt?" Kurt asked as he inspected the fabric. She looked down at the red and brown stains.

"Thomas was in such a hurry to grab napkins that he pulled one from under his tray. The tray followed and hit me in the head, covering me in ketchup, barbecue sauce, and . . ." She trailed off and combed through her brown curls, pulling out a few grains of rice.

"Oh baby." Blaine cooed. He sat next to her and started to pick more rice out.

"Is that all that happened?" Kurt asked as he placed the last band-aid on Katie's knee.

"I fell up and down the bus steps to and from school." Katie replied.

"Wow. Today was not your day." Kurt smiled softly.

"Has Thomas said anything to you?" Blaine asked. Katie shook her head.

"I ran off before he could react." She stated.

"I'm sure he's very sorry." Kurt said. They looked up at the sound of her cell phone.

"Hello?" She greeted.

"H-h-hey K-Katie" A lanky boy replied on the other line.

"Thomas?" Katie asked in surprise.

" I-I-I'm s-so s-s-s-sorry." Thomas stuttered. Katie always found it endearing that he stuttered when he was nervous. She smiled softly.

"It's okay. It wasn't your fault-"

"Y-yes it w-was." He pouted.

"I'm fine." Katie stated. Thomas breathed deeply and finally spoke calmly.

"I still feel really bad." He mumbled. She pondered for a moment, glancing at her parents who were obviously pretending to not listen.

"Okay, if you really want to make it up to me I could use some help with homework. Come by around five okay?" Katie said confidently. Thomas was silent for a moment before returning to his stutter.

"Um s-s-sure. T-t-that'd b-be great." He replied. Katie grinned.

"Wonderful. See you then." She concluded.

"B-b-bye." Thomas breathed. Katie hung up with a smile, looking up as Blaine coughed.

"What?" She asked. Kurt and Blaine smirked at her.

"Katie, your grades are perfect." Kurt stated. Katie blushed.

"He doesn't know that. He wouldn't let me accept his apology!" She huffed, running off to her room. Kurt and Blaine laughed at their little girl.
