Chapter 1: The Break-Up:
"What the hell, Leonard?" Penny, my current girlfriend, asked me. I looked at her in desperation. "Penny, I already told you, I'm so sorry. If I could go back and change things, I would." Penny just shook her head. "Leonard, I loved you. I thought you loved me. I guess I was wrong on both counts. Now get out!" Penny said. I looked up at Penny, with tears in my eyes. "Please, Penny. Please." I said, in one last ditch attempt. "No, Leonard, we're through." Penny said. She opened the door, and pointed towards it.
I guess I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here. My name is Leonard Hofstadter. I am a professor at Caltech. I share an apartment with my "friend" Sheldon Cooper. I had been dating Penny for quite a while when this particular incident happened. It happened because, well, I kinda cheated on Penny.
Hey, don't judge me. I'm sure there are lots of you out there who have cheated before. Don't say it! Okay, okay, but most of you wouldn't have cheated on a girl as great and as hot as Penny. I know. However, I'll be trying to explain my actions to you in the coming Chapters. Maybe you'll be able to understand.
