Hello my peoples! It's Kayda and I'm here with another short story for your enjoyment so, ya know, ENJOY!
Ruby scurried back home after a quick trip to the store to pick up the rest of the ingredients (and a few boxes of cookies) that her husband needed to finish making dinner that night; unfortunately, due to her luck it started to pour rain when she was about halfway home, soaking her to the bone.
Finally rounding one last corner she sees her house, activating her semblance and slamming right through the door of the cozy cabin.
"Hey Rubes!" Oscar called from the kitchen "Did you get everything?"
"Yep!" she replied as she walked into the warm room soaking wet with three bags in her hands.
The hazel eyed boy turned around and grinned at his wife. "Here, I'll get those you head upstairs to change. Okay?"
Nodding Ruby pecked his cheek and dashed up to their room leaving a small puddle of water from where she was standing.
Oscar turned his attention back to the stove where his aunts special Chicken Noodle soup was cooking and grabbed one of the containers of spices from one of the bags. About five minutes later Ruby waltzed down the stairs in one of her husband's soft flannel shirts and wrapped her arms around his waist pressing her face into his back. The hazel eyes man grinned and took the soup off the burner, then he turned around and kissed his wife gently on the forehead.
"Dinners done." He spoke quietly into the petite woman's ear.
Whining Ruby pulled away and proceeded to get to bowls and spoons out while Oscar placed the pot of soup on the table. After they both sat down and got their soup Ruby suddenly glanced up at her husband for a minute and then looked back down. The man noticed after a moment and asked taking her pale hand "Rubes? Is everything alright?"
The silver-eyed warrior looked up with a smile and replied "Yeah. Everything's perfect."
And that's a wrap! So random question to all of you guys. Do you think there should be a middle case letter? Because I feel like lowercase is to little at sometimes however, UPPERCASE IS TO MUCH. So your thoughts and opinions on that would be great if you would like to leave a comment!
