A Tale of Two Worriers
Summary: What if the great Achilles actually had a match? A woman perhaps? Briseis, the niece of king Priam was raised up and trained by the Amazons. Although a priestess to the god Apollo, she was also one of the strongest worriers in Troy. (The story is quite different from the movie) Disclaimer: None of character nor the story plot belongs to me and blah blah blah.
"Never take your mind off your enemy." A rather happy looking Briseis said while pinning her cousin Paris onto the tree. After coming back to Troy with the Queen of Sparta, Paris has tried to train hard hoping to impress other nobles to prove that he was more than just a womanizer. "Briseis, I surrender," said a devastated Paris, "you have become very skilled with a dagger in the past few weeks." "Well, practicing with a dagger is much more interesting than to court with a bunch of brainless and brutal men" Said Briseis as she sheath her dagger.
"I just don't understand," said Paris amusingly," why would you want to spend the rest of your life serving Apollo instead of settle down and having a family of your own like Andromache did." Briseis just shook her head and answered, "My life is to be dedicated to the Apollo and Troy." Seeing the situation is lost, Paris shrugged the suggestion off and decided to go back to his apartment and "court" Helen. "My lord, we are almost there." Said Eudorus. After noticing the disappearance of his wife, Menelaus went to his brother Agamemnon, the high king of all Greece. Together, they decided to fight back against Troy to capture Troy and Helen. "Look Patroclus", Achilles started, "there is Troy with its high wall and unbreakable defense and Apollo's protection, I shall prove them wrong." "Yes, you are even better than Hector," said Patroclus confidently, "may I fight along side with you cousin?" "No you may not, you are simply too young." Achilles said with a matter of fact tone. "Myrmidons," Achilles yelled out loud to his soldiers, "we shall conquer Troy and engrave our name on every statues in every street, and our name shall go down in history." The men respond with a mighty roar. Achilles smiled and turns toward the horizon where the beach of Troy awaits; little did he know that the fates had prepared a surprise for him, a girl with a temper and skill that rival him. This is my first fanfict, although I am not an Orlando Bloom and Brad Pitt fan, I still like Homer's work. Please give me some comments and email them to fmuziyahoo.com Thanks!!!
