It was so dark and cold outside. Inoue Orihime sniffed quietly, wiping at her eyes sadly. "Eat, woman." Came a cold voice. She glanced at the stoic man, and shivered at his bright eyes. "I...I don't want it." She heard his steps become closer to her, and Orihime shifted away from him. "I will not go through this with you again." Ulquiorra muttered, shoving the plate into her lap. "You will eat and be healthy for Aizen-sama." Her grey eyes searched his for some pity.
None.
Not one sliver of emotion in those unforgiving emerald eyes.
She sighed, picking up the utensils, absentmindley stabbing at her food. "When I return in an hour, your plate will be empty." He whispered, and her eyes looked into his. "U-Ulquiorra-san...?" Orihime whispered, tears threatening to fall. "Do...do you care for me..?" She inquired, and he froze. "I only care for you in terms of food and water." He replied curtly, and turned away from him. "..Are you lying to me, Ulquiorra-san?" Orihime asked, walking towards him slowly. "Why would I have a reason to?" Ulqiorra questioned, a slight glare coming from him. She shivered at his gaze, despite wearing long sleeves on her slender arms. "You have all the reason in the world." She said, a devilish look coming onto her features. As if daring him to continue. "I don't understand the way you think, woman." She giggled at his words, tugging his sleeve. "It's simple. You don't have to like me...after all, I am the one you went through all the trouble to kidnap. I'm the one you must tend to every day." She counted on her fingers. "Why else would you not lie to me? To poke fun at the silly human girl with conflicting emotions?" His eyes widened slightly the way the spoke so harshly to him. "I suppose you make sense, woman. You had better eat your meal before I return." He reminded, before walking out swiftly. "W-wait!" She called, and he turned. "Woman, you're wasting my time again." She smiled gently. "I care for you, Ulquiorra-san."
"And I to you, woman."
Orihime ate all of her bland food that night.
