"Hey, Caitlyn! What's going down?" Nate asked happily upon spotting Caitlyn in, of all places Caitlyn would go, McDonald's.

She gave him a weak smile. "Hey, Nate." She took a sip of her large drink and scribbled on a piece of paper in front of her. "What's going down? Ha, my grade point average."

Nate nodded and plopped himself down in the seat across from her. "Which is why you're doing your homework?" Caitlyn nodded, eyes glued to her paper.

"Why McDonald's? McDonald's kills people, Cait." He gestured to his Big Mac and large order of fries.

"So does homework. They make a good pair."

The two sat in silence for a few moments, just listening to Caitlyn's furious scribbling.

"What subject?" Nate finally asked.

"History." Caitlyn replied grimly.

Nate made a sad face and shook his head. "Poor you." He said sympathetically.

Caitlyn grimaced. "I know. And my teacher is humorously insane."

"Tell me about it." And Nate really did want to be told about it.

Caitlyn finally looked up. "He spouts off the randomest things every day. And he reminds me of my eight-year-old cousin. He's lovable but extremely strange."

Nate looked to Caitlyn with interest. He loved hearing her funny school stories, especially since it had been so ling since he'd been at a public school. That look was all Caitlyn needed to get started.

"So twice, I've overheard him saying, 'Excuses are like armpits; everyone has them, and they usually stink.' And then one day in study hall he's giving us this riddle about a guy eating a seagull sandwich and then throwing himself off a cliff and he wanted us to figure out why. It was because he ate his parents as a kid and thought they were a seagull sandwich and then he realized when he took a bite of the real seagull sandwich and was so upset he killed himself! He thought that was really clever. I was like 'what????'! And then he is so cheesy with all these freaky comeback lines and I'm like the only one who gets them so I'll be giggling in the corner and everyone's staring at me and he'll be all, 'See, Caitlyn gets it.' And I'm like, 'Ugh, why am I so smart?!' And he's always really enthusiastic about history but in a way that puts the whole class to sleep. He's gotta be the most interesting teacher in the school." Caitlyn finished matter-of-factly, nodding.

Nate stared at her for a minute, his mouth open, but half smiling. Then he burst out laughing.

Caitlyn blushed as she realized how silly she'd just sounded and giggled along with him.

When Nate had calmed himself he said, "Sounds like you've got a pretty entertaining teacher."

Caitlyn nodded.

"You're so crazy."

Caitlyn blushed again.

Nate reached across the table and put each of his hands on her face.

"Don't ever change."

Haha! This extremely random idea popped into my head and I had to go with it. The teacher is based off of my social studies teacher who is very strange. I needed some fluffy Naitlyn. I hope you liked! Please review!! :)
