DISCLAMER: They're all mine and i'm not sharing :P And i'm making huge amounts of money on this story.
Yeah, right.
He woke up early, a force of habit he supposed. He tried not to disturb the sleeping figure on the bed, while sliding out of it. God only knew, that his companion needed the rest.
He didn't bother with too much clothing, as cold never really bothered him. An old pair of jeans was sufficient for a crisp spring morning like today. Treading softly, he made his way to the balcony and opened the doors.
The fresh, cold air hit him as he stepped outside. It was very early indeed, the sun barely rising on the horizon, the giant city quiet, asleep still. Those that worked at night are already resting only and only few have already risen. It's almost peaceful, matching his mood, the feeling of contentment building up deep inside him.
He glanced at the bed, visible behind the glass and smiled. It as good to have Lex back, to be finally free of all the secrets that had been dividing them since day one. It was far better that what he hoped he would archive when he came here the previous evening. But he certainly was not going to complain.
He watched the city, his city, or maybe now it's their city?, slowly come to life with very inch the sun rose. He bathed in it's warm light, drinking it in.
Lost in the sensation, he almost missed the sound of sliding doors and soft footsteps. He felt a pair of delicate, slightly callused hands slide up the sides of his chest, over his ribs.
"Come back inside, Clark." A warm voice breathed into his ear. " It's a lot warmer there."
Clark smiled and reached his arms behind him, so they would pull Lex towards him. He clasped his hands behind Lex' back.
"Just a minute." He answered. It was almost a whisper, something small, not to disturb this perfect morning. The way he felt perfectly content for a moment.
He smiled again as he felt Lex kiss his neck, the crook of his neck and shoulder and then nimble on his earlobe.
"Now, love."
Still smiling, Clark let himself be dragged back to the apartment and their warm, inviting bed.
