Dark.

Dark as night.

Blind? Was he… blind?

He tried to take in his surroundings. But everything was plain right pitch black. He was laying on something hard. Had he fallen out of bed? He raised his head just to hit it on something solid.

"Ouch", he grumbled, laid his head back down on the hard surface and brought a hand up to his forehead to soothe the pain.
So, he was not able to see anything. And there were no sounds either. Alright, these senses were out of the game.

Carefully, he slid his hands away from his body. Mere inches and he felt something solid again. It went up and right above him was a solid roof.

Both his hands proved so as well as the goose egg on his forehead.

He felt his heart rate speeding up and his breath becoming in quick shallow gasps.

Slowly and with a lot of caution he raised his hands above his head. A solid wall. Right above him.
He bent his ankles. And his toes hit a wall.

Tight. Confined. No space.

Nononono! His mind raced trying to make sense off his touched findings even though he already knew but he tried everything to deny the truth.

His jaw clenched while he pushed his hands against the roof of his tight prison. To no avail. It did not shift in the slightest way. Again and again he tried. He even pulled his legs up as far as the confined space allowed and pushed with his knees and hands together against the roof. Still he registered no movement.

He yelled and pushed against every wall of his small prison. Eventually he panicked and thrashed around hoping against hope it would help.

He hyperventilated by now, his heart pounded way too fast, every beat of it slammed into his ribcage, his chest tightened.

Nearly no air.

He could not draw in a breath properly. He could barely move. He felt the walls closing in on him. He sensed he was on the verge of losing consciousness. Before he slipped, he screamed for his brother!
