Hello everyone and welcome to my first Miraculous fanfiction. Now to me this story is only the second of its kind. I have only ever seen one other story like this one. The idea for this story came to me while I was reading Miraculous fanfiction. I can only hope that its as good as the ones that I have read and that it gets as much love as other Miraculous stories. Well without further to do lets get on to the story!
Oh but first a little something.
Disclaimer: I do not own Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Chat Noir. The only thing I own is the plot for this story.
Miraculous: True Guardian
Master Fu looked at his kwami and sighed. "Wayzz, are you sure about this? You are not a fighter, my friend. You would rather heal others then cause them any pain."
"I know that Master, but what choice do we have? We do not know the location of the Black Cat Miraculous or its kwami. The same can be said for the Peacock Miraculous and its kwami, and while we both hate to admit it, the current holder of the Butterfly Miraculous has quite the destructive grip on its powers. We can not give out a minor Miraculous to the boy as Ladybug needs a powerful ally. The minor Miraculous' will not fit with what Ladybug requires in a partner. While we could try the Bee. she has been known to not take too kindly to male holders of her Miraculous. I know that the fox could also work for him but the boy is already living in an illusion of his own creation and I fear that the power over illusions would only turn the boy into the opposite of what we need him to be. I will miss you Master but this has to be done." Master Fu sighed and looked down at his bracelet. He would miss his friend, but he was right. This was the only path that was available to them at the current moment. "I will miss you, my friend."
"And I you, Master."
True Guardian
Adrien Agreste was quite confused when he saw the black and red octagonal box on his bed. It wasn't his birthday and even if it was, he was sure his father wouldn't have gotten him a gift. He had stopped receiving gifts for his birthday just after his mother had vanished. He didn't hold it against his father though, he was never the same after his mother's disappearance. Gabriel Agreste had secluded himself in his office and his whole being was absorbed with his work. He would miss meals and never took any breaks. There were even times where Adrien swore that he heard his father working late at night and into the wee hours of the morning. He didn't have any friends and neither Natalie or the Gorilla had ever gotten him gifts, so who was this from?
Eventually - as it does with everyone - curiosity got the best of him and he opened the box. To his surprise, there was a beautifully crafted piece of green jade tied to a simple length of leather cord.
Adrien gingerly picked up the jewelry. He debated whether or not to put this on. He still had no idea who this was from. Then again, what had he got to lose?
He slipped the leather cord on but almost dropped it when a tiny, floating turtle appeared before his very eyes.
"Hello Master, I am Wayzz the kwami of the Miraculous that you are now holding. I regret to inform you of this but the city is in danger and its current guardian needs help protecting it. The monsters that have been attacking the city recently are getting stronger and stronger. Will you help her?" Adrien looked at the tiny turtle for a few minutes, blankly, before his brain caught up with him and the current situation.
"Are you telling me that Ladybug, the guardian of Paris, needs my help?" Wayzz went to answer but was cut off by Adrien as he continued speaking his thoughts. "But she's so strong and smart. She always gets the most random of objects when she uses her powers but she still comes out on top. Just what could someone like me do to help?" Wayzz could sense the small bit of sadness that was coming from the child in front of him. He was doubting his worth and abilities. Perhaps he could let a little more slip about the child's new adversary and team mate.
"Hawk Moth. That is the name of the man you will face. He has grown restless and is now aiming to do more then take Ladybug's Miraculous by force. He has upped his game to extreme force. Ladybug has had to come to me and my old master in between her last fight. She had been injured in such a way that she desperately required healing before she was able to defeat the akuma that had attacked the town."
Adrien was in shock. This villain had tried to kill Ladybug for her Miraculous? That was absurd! Sure, those akuma's were not the kindest in their attacks but they hadn't tried to kill the hero that he - along with the rest of Paris - held dear to their hearts. If the villain was going to up his game in such a way then maybe Ladybug did need his help. But at the same time, would he be any help at all? He was just a kid who barely convinced his dad to allow him to go to a public school!
Adrien was about to turn down the little turtle's offer when his television broadcasted the emergency news station.
"Ladies and gentlemen," the reporter on screen said in a professional tone of voice. Adrien could hear how worried the reporter was, though. Her words came out in a calm manner but the speed in which she spoke them gave away her urgency. "We interrupt your usually scheduled programs to tell you that an akuma has been spotted in the downtown area and that Ladybug has confronted it. However, unlike usual, this monster of an akuma seems to have no desire to simply take our hero's Miraculous. He appears to want to remove the 'stain' that is Ladybug from the streets of Paris. We advise all residents of Paris to-"
Whatever the lady was going to say was interrupted by an arm which shoved a piece of white cardstock in front of her face. The reporter quickly took the piece of cardstock and scanned it with her eyes. Adrien briefly thought he heard the lady mutter something along the lines of 'You're kidding me or 'This can't be possible.'
"This just in folks, Ladybug has been severely injured. We can only hope that she makes it out of the battle alive." It was at that moment that Adrien's heart stopped. Ladybug had been severely injured? Was this the end of Paris' protector? Suddenly, a burst of courage went through his body. No, this wouldn't be her end. He would be sure of that. "Wayzz, tell me what I have to do."
And that's a wrap people. Tune in next time to see what powers Wayzz will give Adrien and just what he plans to do to the dastardly akuma who would dare hurt Ladybug.
