This is more or less an interest check which is why it isn't very long. I have plans to keep writing this of course, and all constructive criticism is welcome.

A siren blared from the Tower. Long and loud they traveled across the city warning the citizens that an attack was imminent. The last safe city on earth was under attack... again. The fallen, a hostile scavenging alien race, had doubled its attempts to overthrow the city. Every time the guardians had driven them away. After three weeks of relentless assault the city was spent and the Tower was losing supplies faster than ever before. All guardians had been asked to return home and the factions were working together for the first time in a long time.

Almost every bed in the tower was occupied as only the very crucial teams stayed away at other planets. when the sirens began the Tower came to life. guardians of all kinds came forth. Their armor on and their weapons at the ready. Few were making their way to the top of the tower as the rest descended to swarm the streets. flares from the wall hissed up into the air and marked the places where guardians were needed. the whole wall was aflame in the red light of flares.

Two ghostly white titans sauntered down the streets. They had been set in patrol duty in order to keep the ruffians from stealing in such an emotionally charged time. It was good for the city to see their guardians looking intimidating and more importantly present. Weapons rested in their hands as they scanned the streets for trouble. Their first reaction wouldn't be to shoot a civilian, but they would get less backlash with a weapon clearly at the ready. today the city seemed stiff. fear was heavy in the air and the streets were empty. After almost a month of having their city attacked the people had decided it was a safe call to just stay indoors. That was exactly what the Tower wanted.

Being the last city on earth, the buildings were packed tight and towered far into the sky. even with all of that there was barely enough space for everyone. Only three main roads were strength shots from the Tower to the wall. Guardians routes were based around these roads so that they could maneuver the city quickly. As the two identical titans rounded a corner onto one of these main streets a siren began to shout into the city. The previously cautious guardians where now stiff their heads first shooting to the Tower and then the wall and finally each other.

Ghosts appears in their hands and shortly after matching sparrows were summoned. The two titans hopped aboard and rushed to the wall. Their marks flapping viscously from the speed and a yellow trail of light flowed behind them. They would be the first few to reach the wall. The morning sun was barely cresting the mountains and from its faint light fallen ships could be seen swarming the skies. A group of ten ships shot overhead from the tower. Skilled pilots would be shooting down the enemies ships in hopes of killing the aliens before they touched the ground. rockets blasted from the Tower's ships hitting many of the alien aircraft before anyone really knew what was happening.

The twin titans reached the wall and were hurried inside. "You're headed to the northeastern side of the wall. A team has been assembled. They are waiting for you. Good luck out there," some commander told them and sent them on their way. The warp tunnels weren't trusted when in combat so they were forced to either walk the inside of the wall or go back outside and ride their sparrows to the destination. They opted for the latter despite the risks it brought. Time was running out and they weren't going to keep their team waiting.
