A few months after defeating the kishion, life at the DWMA has almost returned to normal. Everyone still talked about how Maka, Kid, Black Star, and there weapons killed Asura. Everyone's doing fine!or almost everyone. Almost every night Maka has a nightmare. Sonetimes waking up screaming, or just opening her eyes and crying. Then she as a night mare in that she turns into a weapon and is forced to kill Soul. This opens something inside her... soon she and Soul learn that they are both miesters, and weapons.
