Prompt #55 (Scenario) – I pretty much live in detention and you're a straight A student here on your first offense. Wanna add another and skip detention with me?

A perfect manicured eye brow rose high at the sight of the tall blonde making her way into a seat in the front roll. Confusion entered the chocolate brown eyes as she stared at the stiff straight back of the seated blonde. Standing to her feet and making her way to the desk next to the blonde. "You know this is detention right?" She smirked locking eyes on the sea of the blue green eyes.

A blush started at the blonde's neck and quickly made its way up to her cheeks. "Yes I very well know this is detention." She sighed.

"Are you doing a article for the 'Blue and Gold'?" Veronica folded her arms. "I mean I for one don't mind giving you an interview."

"No this isn't for the 'Blue and Gold' …. I actually got detention." She frowned as her eyes lowered down onto the desk.

"What did you do?" Veronica asked in shock. "Seriously Betty what on earth did you do?" She was very confused because this is the very first time in their entire school life that Betty Cooper received detention. She should know because she is the Queen of detention.

Betty refused to answer.

"Come on it can't be that horrible." Veronica giggled.

"Cheryl got into me again. Instead of just walking away I finally snapped. I threw my balled up trash at her. Mr. Bee happened to have come around the corner then. Cheryl of course acted all innocent … and seeing how Mr. Bee just saw me throw something at her gave me the detention." Her eyes lifted from the desk to meet the compassionate eyes of the shorter brunette. "My mom is going to kill me for this." She sighed as she realized that honesty for once her mother had the right to yell and lecture her.

Veronica shook her head. "Of course Cheryl set you up Betty." Her fingers curled into her skin. "Don't worry I'll deal with Cheryl Blossom for you. I'll make sure she finally realizes that you aren't to be bothered with by her."

Betty sighed. "I can handle Cheryl. I just have to remember just three more years of required time that I have to spend with her. After we graduate then I an finally choose if I want to be around her." She shook her head. "I mean if you say anything to her … then Cheryl will just make it worse for me." She knew what she was talking about. The boys tried to help her over the years and Cheryl just made her pay even more.

Veronica leaned forward, and placed her hand on Betty's arm. "You shouldn't have to put up with this abuse B." She sighed. "I'm sorry that I didn't know it was this bad. I should have known. I have known that Cheryl has targeted you since first grade. I should have protected you a lot sooner." Tears sparkled in her eyes.

"I didn't want you to know Ronnie." Betty husked out. "I didn't want you involved."

"That's it. Seeing how you got your first detention anyways. We'll just add more time to it by skipping it." Veronica stood to her feet and helped Betty to hers.

Betty shook head. "No I can't." She couldn't keep the slight sob from bursting out.

Veronica stepped closer. "You aren't in shape to serve right now. Come on B." She gently placed her hand against Betty's neck. "Let's get out of here B."

Betty's watery eyes met Veronica's concerned ones. She simply nodded.

Veronica sighed in relief and moved away. She slipped her hand into the blonde's, and led her out of the detention room. "Come my love I know where we can go." She pulled her girlfriend against her side; as the two walked towards the exist.

Betty rested her head against Veronica's shoulder.
