She stared off into the distance, watching as the sun continued to break across the sky. From where they had set up camp the night before, Elena could see everything around them. Harper had insisted on setting up camp atop the palisades, and while it hadn't been the softest spot, it gave a breathtaking view.

Behind her she could hear Harper trying to start a fire from the kindling he'd, apparently, woken early to get. Leaving her and Gible behind to sleep in. She sat on the edge, putting up her hair so she could clean up, though she did have to hurry to catch Gible as she ran by, setting her down in her lap as she rinsed out her mouth and spit off the edge.

Gible tugged on her shirt and Elena turned as she heard the fire start. She held up her hand and stood, hurrying over to pull the bag of berries out of her backpack and two spears to roast them on. He only smiled at her, a deep blush on his cheeks as he pulled out a huge bag of berries from behind him.

She looked at him and only laughed as she handed her bag over to him so he could fill it. Once the berries had been roasted the way Harper liked, both sat side by side near the edge and ate quietly as they watched the sky change from a deep red to a bright blue.

Harper was never much of a talker, not even when she had first met him, it was rare to get a word out of him. And Elena understood, she herself liked to stay quiet. Serena had always told her that creativity came from the stillness within, and it had been something she had held onto since. Silence was good, they had no need for words. All they had to do was look at each other and they knew.

Harper moved to get a bottle of water, and came back seconds later to wash the excess off of the metal. Once she was done she placed hers down beside her, already feeling the familiar sense of Harper's finger just inches from touching her shoulder. She turned and stared up at him to see the bright smile on his face.

Harper's hand was outstretched, one leg hanging over the edge of the rock, he was staring right at her when she smiled back. "Eh-na," His voice was gruff, and his smile cracked, "Lẹwa." He moved his hand down slowly before he pressed it against her heart.

She blinked and looked down at his hand, she could feel it trembling, and he looked away with hesitation. She didn't hesitate as she placed her hand over his, she knew he was seconds from moving it. He looked back at her as she blushed, her voice was coarse as she smiled at him. "Harper, mo nifẹ rẹ."
