Oneshot for Benson and Audrey. I haven't seen any of them in a story dedicated to them so yeah. Tell me what you think.
Benson fiddled with the keys to his apartment. Just then he heard his neighbor, Audrey, coming down the hall. He noticed she was carrying a lot of bags and was struggling. "Hey, do you need any help?" He asked the blonde lady.
"Oh, yes please. Thank you Benson." She said. Benson picked up as many bags as he could and held the door open for Audrey. Benson liked her apartment, and her. She was very pretty, and kind. "You can set them on that table right there." Audrey said with a smile. Benson put them down.
"Well if you need any more help you know where to find me." The gumball machine said as he began walking out the door. Audrey made a quick decision.
"Benson, uh… Would you like to stay for dinner? I bought a roast, and it's more than enough for me to eat alone." She said as she rocked her body side to side like a little girl asking for a new doll. Benson thought this over, he would love to stay, but he didn't want to intrude.
A little sadly he responded, "Thanks, but I couldn't intrude." Audrey looked up swiftly.
"I insist, please Benson?" He thought about this and thought 'what they hey?'
"Alright, I might as well help by putting some groceries away." Benson said with a smile, and Audrey laughed and clapped her hands with joy. "Where do these go?" Benson asked holding up some vegetables.
"How about this, you chop those up and make a salad. I already have the roast in the oven and it will be done in 20 minutes. I'll put the rest of the dishes away." Audrey said, and Benson began chopping away. When everything was done, Benson helped Audrey set up the table.
"Ha, this is really strange." Benson commented. Audrey got nervous and panicky.
She thought she had done something wrong. "What is it?" She said with alarm. Benson smiled.
"Oh nothing, it's just that Mordecai and Rigby aren't here to ruin this." He said. Audrey sighed with relief as they sat down and began to eat. "Audrey, this is really good." Benson said. This made Audrey blush, and she tried to control it, but couldn't.
They too enjoyed their meal, and then Benson helped clean up the mess. Afterwards he needed to get home, even if he lived right across the hall. "So um, I'll see you around Audrey.
"Yeah, thanks for coming over Benson." She smiled. Benson stood in the doorway, but then turned around.
"Audrey I was wondering if you'd go out with me sometime?" He said awkwardly. Audrey got very excited.
"Yeah, I'd really like that." She said. Benson was very happy.
"Great, I'll talk to you about it tomorrow." Benson closed the door, and had a light smile on his face. He went to sleep that night dreaming of the possibilities.
It's short, but that's the point. Review please.
