Why?
"She left. Ash, I know this is hard to her, but Misty, she left while you were in the gym saying that she needed time to figure out what's happening with her life." Explained Brock as Ash was in their room, asking about what happened to Misty. Just as Ash was going to question Brock further, his phone vibrated showing the words: new message.
WaterMaster: Ash, I'm very confused about my life at the moment, and I need some time away from everything. I'm deleting you from my contacts and destroying my phone. I'm Sorry.
Unknowingly, tears started to roll down Ash's cheek as he read the message. "Ash, what did the message say?" Asked Brock.

BROCK'S POV
It had been seven years since Misty left and Ash hasn't been doing too good. He worked himself into insanity, of course giving his Pokémon breaks, but he had none. He was always coming up with insane strategies that always seemed to work in the end. This one time, he had his greninja use mat block to take down his opponent and using all the offensive moves to defend, and he was winning all the championships he battled in and was the champion in multiple regions. Reporters are calling him a certified genius, but he keeps saying he shouldn't get awards because his Pokémon were doing all the heavy lifting, and only they should get awards. But two years ago when we returned to Kanto, he went on this psychotic rant and I realised he had started to slowly go insane. Now here I am sitting in front of the reason my best friend went insane.
"What gives you the right to want to see him?! You're the reason he's gone insane!" I yelled. I am absolutely furious that SHE'S demanding to go see him after all she has done. "You left without telling us why, without giving us a good reason and now you want to go in that highly secured cell and talk to him?! WHY?! Why did you leave him? Hmmm? Why did you leave us?" I was definitely not going to let her see him. At all. "I told you it's because I needed to think!" "Not good enough!" I then threatened to call the cops on her if she didn't leave, and seeing as I work here part time to look after Ash, I could do that.
ASH'S POV
I heard shouting outside my super guarded cell. They had it reinforced twenty times because apparently I'm an 'insane super genius'. After the shouting stopped my best friend for nine years storms into my area and says: "Ash, SHE'S here, what should we do?" "Don't let HER in, if you do I will kill her. She's the reason I'm insane and she thinks she can see me?" I was starting to get mad so I told Brock to call the cops if she didn't leave in five minutes. She's Evil.
