"I hate Yellow, I hate Red, I hate walking, and boy, do I hate heavy luggage..." Blue grumbled as she dragged three large suitcases behind her. "I come home from my trip, and this is what I get?!" she complained to herself as she slowly walked down the sidewalk. Despite the beautiful weather, she was still grumpy. Her mood seemed to worsen as the sun's rays got brighter.

She had just come back from a long trip from Hoenn. One of the gym leaders, Roxanne, had gotten married, and invited only Blue and Yellow. It was fun, but coming back was a pain. Especially when you had to lug all your luggage for two blocks to get to your house because your friend, who had promised to give you a ride home, saw her love interest training and decided to hang out with him instead. Not to hint towards anyone Blue knew.

A familiar white and blue striped mailbox came into view. "Almost there!" she told herself, and took a deep breath and continued walking. When she walked up the steps to the front door, she saw a white box set to the side. A message was taped to it.

Blue: I forgot to get your mail everyday, so I got everything today and put it here. I'll be stopping by later to bring back some packages you missed.

~Silver

Blue groaned as she realized the box was yet another trip to put things inside. "That lazy, disobedient, good for nothing person I call my brother..." she grumbled. She asked him to do one thing, and he forgot. Of course. After "throwing" her suitcases on the living room floor, she ran out to the door and grabbed the box. She looked inside. The first thing she saw in the small stack was a letter with her name on it. And if it had her name on it, how could she not get excited?

Sitting on the couch, she opened the letter quickly. It was from him. Green wrote back to me! she thought with a smile. Immediately, all the bad things that had happened that day were erased from her brain.

After reading it to herself, she sighed and put it on the coffee table. Green had temporarily left a couple months ago. He would complain about "what a drag" it was to leave. But from the letter, it sounded like he was living the life in far away regions, going to gym leader seminars and parties and whatnot. He was so successful now, because of his new job. Blue sighed again, not in jealousy, but in longing. She wanted to go with him, to see him everyday like she used to, planned or unplanned.

She really did miss him. No matter how many distractions she could make for herself (and really, there were many) she still wished he were there. A weird feeling entered her brain. Is this love? She shook her head. She and Green were just close friends, the way Yellow and Red were. But Yellow and Red were getting closer...could the same happen with her and Green?

Her thoughts were interrupted by the doorbell's chimes. Silver, the "brother," was here; about time! She bounced up off the couch and swung open the door. "I ASK YOU TO DO ONE THING FOR ME AND-" She gasped and was silenced. In front of her was the one and only Green Oak, giving her the famous smirk he wore when he was right about something. "You-I-but-how?!" she stammered, but was enveloped into a tight hug. "I guess you didn't read the back!" he told her.

Who knew that a simple letter could be so exciting?
