In the midst of the garden;

In the middle of the glen,

sometimes I thought

I could see you again.

br

br

And never before

had you looked so real.

Was your touch always a candle

only I could feel?

br

br

And then you would say

how you had waited forever.

The bonds of true friendship

could never be severed.

br

br

And then at the moment

(that had finally arrived)

You would tell me

how you had passed the time.

br

br

The web of lies

would come to a close.

for in death, there are no secrets-

all is one perfect rose.

br

br

Or perhaps another plant?

A gift of a vine.

The leaves a pure blue

under the veins of red wine.

br

br

The present...

That caused my life to be hell.

And to condemn others

there as well.

br

br

Nothing will be the same again.

But, for now, all is bliss.

Except for the memory

of that one perfect kiss.

br

br

And then I wake up.

br

br

But sometimes I wonder

if you're still by my side:

waiting for me...

Or had you lied?
