Well...I really have no clue where this idea came from.
I just hope you enjoy it. :3
Disclaimer: I do not own Harvest Moon or any of the characters associated with it.
It was today.
Quickly, pulling off the bed sheets and running delicate fingers through chestnut brown hair, young Chelsea ran out of the house, and into the morning light.
She stretched the last of the sleep out of her, and gazed up at the pale, duck egg coloured sky.
"Still early..." she mumbled drowsily, before dropping her arms to her sides once more, and surveying the area.
Only a few small tufts of lanky weeds stuck up out of the ground, and stray branches and stones were nowhere to be seen.
"Good." She smiled happily, knowing full well that today, she wouldn't have time for petty tasks such as clearing her fields. No, today was much more important for that.
The brunette started her walk across the dusty fields, her pace quickening with each step.
She blinked harshly a few times as the sun started to rise, blinding her with the golden rays which were so essential for her in this job. She smiled as she soon passed through some trees, their lush leaves shielding her from the harshness of the sun's glare, and enveloping her in a cool, welcomed aura.
She passed by the enclosed spaces which she had constructed out of pieces of stone and lumber, ready to hold the various sheep and cows which she would be obtaining later on, after she had raised sufficient money from her current crop yields.
Quickly, she came to the small wooden hut which had been constructed at the back of her farm. The smile on her face immediately turned into a grin, and her eyes flickered with child-like amusement as she placed her hand on the cold door handle. She ever so carefully pushed the new smelling door open, and stepped inside quietly, as to not disturb the residence inside. She closed the door tightly behind her, so that her company would not be able to walk out on her.
As soon as she had entered the building, its residence, four hens, instantly began pecking around Chelsea's feet, seemingly glad that she had arrived. She gave all of them a sweet smile, called out their names one by one whilst getting their hay like feed ready, before bending down to stroke each one of their heavenly soft like feathers in turn.
That job was easily done, and afterwards, the young farmer turned her attention back to what she was really here for-a small, clear box, stuffed with straw, a blinding light emanating from a warm light bulb above it. She bit her lip to stop herself from giggling in anticipation, as she peeked over the top of the box, to see a small, perfectly round and pure white egg nestled in the midst of all its bedding.
It had already begun to crack, sharp pieces of its crisp shell breaking off right before Chelsea's eyes.
She smiled as her eyes began to well up.
This was truly her first step into becoming the greatest farmer of all time.
Sorry that the ending was rushed and that it was so short. ;-;
Reviews please? Constructive criticism is good, but flaming gets people nowhere.
Try not to point out silly grammatical and spelling errors however, it's not really useful. -.-
