Watching the Avengers last night gave me some wonderful ideas... :-) A drabble for now, but we'll see!

His mind screamed at him to run, but there were people here who needed his help. He knew the danger; knew that in seconds, seconds, this entire building, and the city around it, would collapse into nothing, but he stayed, giving orders and doing his best to get everyone away.
"No, no – leave them!"
He heard words coming from his mouth, knew they were his – but he barely recognized them, so intent on ushering the men away from the building, overriding their orders with his own.
Their jobs were unimportant.
They just had to get out.
