Vignettes of Seasons
.:Autumn
Being born in October, autumn captivates my senses, my very being. As the wind delicately brushes me with her icy touch, a myriad of colours surround me. The best thing about autumn colours is that they are beautifully pigmented; not subtle, yet surprisingly non-ostentatious. They did not force one to pay attention to them, but rather they caught the corner of one's eye and allowed the colours to slowly inebriate one's senses, as the crisp coldness of the weather, the soft, silhouetted sun bathing the innocent Earth; completes the effect. As I step out into the crispness of autumn, the wind heightens my senses, tingling my flesh. What I think I love most about autumn, however, is probably that his love for me embodies my sense like autumn.
.:Winter
Soft, icy snowflakes kiss me as I walk down to the school; yes, I love the icy blue of the sky and cannot take my eyes from it. In a word, it is breathtaking, just like his eyes. The softness of the sunlight, the snowflakes, the very air encompassing me, reminds me of the fleeting innocence, beautiful yet unrecognized, surrounding the scholarly environment. Seeing the untouched, perfect snow, I suddenly long to touch it, not to mar its beauty, though. On the contrary, I merely wish to play with it and create an imprint of past innocence upon it. I think what makes winter so intriguing, though, is that it reminds me of my innocence.
.:Spring
Always cordial, the robin and the cardinal chirp as flowers blossom all around me. The roses in my front yard, pink and delicate, not unlike the blush highlighting my cheeks, bloom in full view. Spring is always been for new beginnings, and this year is no difference; change is all around us. As I ponder how far things everywhere have come, he suddenly comes up behind me and tickles me senseless. Well…some things never change.
.:Summer
The best things about summer are rainstorms, sunrises, and sunsets. As gentle Dawn grazes the Earth with her golden fingers, her blush illuminates the sky. I look out my window and sigh. Dawn's dainty form, flitting across the once dark sky is heartstopping. Sunrises are beautiful, yet rainstorms ignite another emotion in me: carelessness. It has been raining all day and I couldn't love it more; when no one was there, I threw on a sundress and clambered outside, not bothering to put on my shoes. My curly hair is soaked as I stand there, savouring the smell and taste of the endless drops of water. My feet are covered in damp grass as I scampered inside, ignoring everyone's questions. As I fall to sleep, the thunder sings a soft lullaby to me, promising new things for the morn. I awake to antoher beautiful summer dawn, and , seeing it was a clear day, waited in anticipation for dusk. Evening came, and beautiful hues of pink, orange, blue, and violet captivatedme as he sat down next to me. And there we stayed, talking until the moon faded from the midnight sky. Left on the tree behind us was:
Rose x Scorpius
Forever
