I've seen people do all sorts of spoofs off of Christmas shows, such as The Grinch and A Christmas Carol. While I was watching one of my favorite Christmas shows the other day, I thought it would be cool to do one off of that. So, here it is, my version of A Christmas Story Harry Potter style.
A Christmas Story: Harry Potter style
(Harry's the narrator, so it is in his voice).
We were walking along Hogsmeade. The stores were beginning to put Christmas decorations up in the windows. As we turned the corner by Terry's Tricks, a new store located by Honeydukes, I saw it. I rushed to stare into the window at it. It was a 6 and ½ inch glow-in-the-dark laser wand with a built in timer. I stood amazed.
The next morning, as I was getting ready to go to classes, I thought I'd leave a few subtle hints the last time I wrote to Sirius. We walked into the great hall, and Dumbledore, after winning a fortune that summer, was asking us kids what we wanted for Christmas. He got to me. Oh dear, what was I going to say. My mouth started moving before I got a chance to think out my words.
"I want a 6 and ½ inch glow-in-the-dark laser wand with a built in timer," I blurted out. I knew this was a mistake; the talk around town was that these wands were very dangerous. There have been many reports of cases where children have burnt their eyes out from the lasers.
"Harry, you'll burn your eye out," Dumbledore commented.
I know that wasn't very long, but I want some feedback before I post any more. Do you think I should basically just follow the story line? Should I put some R/H or H/G or ?/? in here. Let me know; I'll do what the reviewers want!!!!!!
