There she was, crying, sitting on the floor of that little apartment she'd shared with the girl with the most amazing eyes in the world, the most incredible girl in the whole word, with the girl that had made this last two months so hard, but at the same time so important to her, she had teach her so much, the girl that has protected her and promised so much. But she screwed up; she let her go, just let her walked away. Being at that apartment make her so much damage, it reminds her to all the time and things they've shared. "God, how could I be so stupid" Marissa wasn't mad at Alex, she was right to leave, to protect herself.
And when I see you
I really see you upside down
But my brain knows better
It picks you up and turns you around
Turns you around, turns you around
But, she did actually leave, she said goodbye, but Marissa wasn't ready for it, it was so unexpected. Thinking about what had happened, Marissa realized one thing, she misses Alex, why? For one simple reason, Alex was the one, the only one, who had truly loved her without expecting anything from her, without demanding something she wasn't able to give, the only thing Alex asked for, she denied it. Everything was broken, everything was dark, all those feelings where gone, Alex had taken them with her.
If you feel discouraged
that there's a lack of color here
Please don't worry lover
It's really bursting at the seams
for absorbing everything
the spectrum's a to z
Now, there is nothing left to do, nothing left to expect. She was gone, and Marissa had to move on, yes, Alex own her heart but not exactly her life, Marissa needed to get out of there before she breaks apart, but something stopped her, the sensation of something missing. This is fact not fiction
For the first time in years
all the girls in every girlie magazine
Can't make me feel any less alone
I'm reaching for the phone
She haven't move for a while, now what was she hopping for? She didn't know, may be for something to change, may be for a beautiful blond girl with amazing blue eyes walking throw that door and make everything right again. But, after all, it didn't happen, dreaming was useless, "take it! She is gone, you screw up, she didn't find enough reasons to stay! You didn't give them to her!"
To call at 7:03
But I know it's too late
I should have given you a reason to stay
given you a reason to stay
When Marissa was about to started her Mustang, she notice a little Jeep approaching her, that was when her heart started to run, run and run! Was it really Alex? Could that be possible? When Marissa went out of her car, she got blind, not for the lights of the jeep, no, it was because there she was, those eyes were looking straight to her, looking at her soul, telling her "I love you". She couldn't do anything, more that run to her arms, hug her and tell her "I will never let you go".
