Prologue

Year 20XX

Somewhere in the countryside of Japan, a man was standing in the fields pondering about something. This man is dressed in a bluish outfit that is sleeveless and resembles the uniforms that ninjas wore back in the feudal age of japan. He also wears a red scarf, and a red kanji can be seen on the left side of his uniform, and it is the kanji of the first character of his codename. His hair is brown, and his stoic eyes which often make him look serious are blue. This man is Hiryu, and he is a high ranking member of the striders, a group of assassins and mercenaries trained to tear down criminals and destroy evil organizations.

"I wonder how long it has been ever since I came back here right after I killed the grandmaster a second time and got sucked into that wormhole that led me to that dimension with all those fighters that appeared from other worlds...? Still, with the grandmaster dead, The world is now at peace again. I can retire right now, but I can't help but think that there is still evil lurking about somewhere in either my world or other worlds in other dimensions..." Hiryu thought in his mind, looking back to the events that happened while he was brought into the world that was created as a result of the Marvel and Capcom universes fusing together thanks to Doctor Doom and Albert Wesker's schemes.

While pondering on what to do next, a bright light suddenly flashes behind our strider hero.

"...?!"

Hiryu then whips out his weapon; an immensely sharp plasma sword that has a tonfa like hilt, and is constantly emitting large amounts of electricity. This sword is the Cypher, a powerful weapon only available to special A-class striders due to how difficult and dangerous it is to use it, and that since Hiryu is also a special A-class strider, he is able to use it with flawless swordsmanship.

A mysterious cloaked figure emerges from the light,and then it let out a mechanical growl and charged towards the strider with what appeared to be mechanical claws, with the intention to rip the Strider apart. However Hiryu saw it coming, and dashed around the figure in an attempt to avoid it's attack and cut it down right after that. The figure However, did something unexpected and fired a projectile at Hiryu, who immediately deflected it away, before he went back in to retaliate. The mystery person then suddenly retracted it's claws and whipped out a sword to stop Cypher from hitting him, causing hiryu to be slightly surprised, though it did not stop him as he then continued to slash at the figure in very quick succession. But the figure was able to parry Hiryu's blows, though with difficulty due to Hiryu's immense speed and swordsmanship skills. Soon Hiryu managed to land several hits on the figure, injuring it severely and causing it to back off in pain while revealing it's identity due to Hiryu slashing off it's cloak.

Much to Hiryu's shock(though he never showed it as always), the figure is not a human, but rather a robot. It has a rather bulky, but muscular design; it's hands, which have retractable claws on it's wrists, look tough enough to crush human skulls easily with the left hand currently holding it's sword, which look like a sleek but sharp katana. It's shoulders are rectangular in appearance, while it's chestplate is also bulky, but it is at least sleek and slim enough that it does not impede it's mobility. It's head and face also resembles the helmets that you would expect dark knights and the like to wear, along with fierce red eyes that would overall make it look rather intimidating. To finish off it's appearance, it is also given a jet black paintjob that makes it even more fearsome than it already is.

Hiryu also noticed that on the robot's right shoulder, there seemed to be an insignia that resembled a red wolf with three red claw marks on it.

"Hmm... I have never seen such an insignia before... But who sent this robot here and for what purpose? Something is definitely up though, and i should investigate this right after subduing this thing." Hiryu thought in his head while having a staring contest with the robot.

The robot then transformed it's right arm into what appears to be a gun and started firing at Hiryu, only for him to dodge the shots and run straight to the robot, attempting to slice off it's right arm. The robot blocked his strike, but failed to see Hiryu punching it's face with his free hand, staggering it and opening itself up to get slashed several times in quick succession by the strider before he uppercuts the robot with Cypher.

The Robot then gets sent flying upwards to the sky with Hiryu jumping towards it, however the robot recovers in time and puts its sword back quickly before switching back to it's claws. Once Hiryu is in range, the robot immediately tried to slice the strider, only for him to block his blows and retaliate back, but the robot also blocked his strikes as well.

Both of them continue to strike each other with lightning speed, and just when it seemed that none of them could land a hit at all, Hiryu catches both of the robot's claws with Cypher and then kicks it really hard before landing some powerful hits and then ending it off with a Excalibur (the move where Hiryu charges towards his opponent in the air) and a nasty downward slash.

The robot then gets sent falling downwards to the ground, slamming it. It tries to get up, but because of it's major injuries, it fails to do so and dies immediately with it's red eyes blinking off and it's body becoming lifeless. Hiryu then lands on the ground and walks over to take a look, but before he could he notices that the portal the robot came from is blinking and is starting to dissipate.

"Maybe that portal can lead me to wherever it is that robot came from. It could be a trap, but I have to find out what is going on immediately." Hiryu thought in his head while walking towards the portal and stepping through it.

The portal then vanished once he went through it.

10 minutes later in a certain city...

In an unoccupied warehouse somewhere in a familiar city, a familiar light then flashes out and Hiryu then jumps out of it.

"...Where am I?"
