CHAPTER 1
Summer was back at home after her second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She proceeded to tell Callie, her mother, everything she had done including saving Sirius Black, an innocent man who was said to be a murderer.
"Summer, look! Your exam results are here!" Callie said. Summer had only been at home for two weeks. The next day she would go to Ginny's house to attend the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasley's. Summer almost ripped her exam results from the brown school owl. She opened it to read:
End-of-Year Exam Results for Miss Summer Elizabeth Ashland:
Care of Magical Creatures 9.5/10
Defense Against the Dark Arts 10/10
History of Magic 9/10
Transfiguration 10/10
Herbology 10/10
Divination 10/10
Potions 10/10
Charms 10/10
"Oh my god! I've got...six ten out of tens!" Summer shrieked with delight.
"Good job, honey!" Callie praised her daughter as she read the exam results. A smile of pride stretched out from her mouth. "It was even better than my first exam! I only got four ten out of tens!"
"I can't wait to tell Ashley and Ginny! Just as she spoke, two owls landed on the kitchen window sill. One was Errol, the Weasley's owl and the other was Storm, Ashley's owl. Summer took the piece of parchment away from Errol and began reading:
Dear Summer,
I just got my exam results! They weren't as bad as I thought they were!
Care of Magical Creatures: 8.5
Defense Against the Dark Arts: 8
History of Magic: 7.5
Transfiguration: 8.5
Astronomy: 9.5
Potions:7
Charms: 9
How about your results? I bet you got a lot of tens!

Summer took a piece of parchment and a quill and ink bottle. She began to write:
Dear Ginny,
That's great news! You're right about the tens. I got a ten for Charms, Defense Agains the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Potions, Divination and Herbology! I got a 9.5 for Care of Magical Creatures and a 9 for History of Magic!
Looking forward to visiting you and Ashley!

Summer tied the parchment onto Errol's leg and unfolded the piece of parchment on Storm's leg. It read:
Summer,
I got my results!
Care of Magical Creatures: 9
Defense Against the Dark Arts: 8
History of Magic: 7.5
Transfiguration: 8.5
Astronomy: 8
Potions: 8.5
Charms: 10
What did you get? I am betting that you got at least three tens!

Ashley,
Great results! I got six tens for Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Charms, Herbology, Divination and Transfiguration.
See you at Ginny's!

Summer tied the parchment onto Storm's leg and he flew off.
"Mum, I'm going to pack for my visit to Ginny's and the World Cup, 'kay?" Summer called as she ran up the stairs.
"Be sure to bring an extra bag for emergencies in case anything happens!" Callie said.
"Okay!" Summer got out her book bag. It would be perfect as an emergency bag. She packed her normal Muggle clothes into a small trunk and her other essentials. Crystal would be staying with Callie and they would meet up at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
"Omniculars? Check. Money bag? Check." Summer mumbled as she put her things into her emergency bag.
Tap. Tap. Tap. Summer looked up. It was Draco Malfoy's eagle-like owl. Summer opened the window and let the eagle-owl in. She opened up Draco's letter and offered some water and food to his owl. Draco's letter read:
Dear Summer.
How is your holiday so far? Mine is fine. We've already arrived at the Quidditch World Cup place. We're supporting Ireland. How were your exam results? My worst was a 7 in Transfiguration but overall, I got mostly eights and some nines. You? Send your answer back with Cammulus, my owl.

Draco Malfoy
Summer felt herself blush when she read 'love' but she picked up her quill and started writing.
Dear Draco,
My holiday is fine though the teachers did give us a lot of homework. My exam results were pretty good in my opinion. I got six tens and a 9 for History of Magic and a 9.5 for Care of Magical Creatures. I hope to see you at the Quidditch World Cup!

Summer folded up the letter and tied it to Cammulus's leg. He hooted at Crystal before flying off. Summer smiled as she watched the white owl disappear from sight. Summer returned to packing.
