A flicker of Hope.

Aang walked out onto the balcony and looked out at the masses of people gathered in the courtyard. They were from all walks of life. Wealthy, poor, Middle-aged, children, young adults, Fire Nation, Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom.
In the front row were Toph, Katara, Sokka, Suki, Tylee and Mai. They all smiled at him. The crowd was loud and could probably be heard for miles around. He smiled back and cleared his throat. The crowd went silent.
"For nearly a century, the world has stood divided. Each person looking over his shoulder, never trusting any-one they meet, whether he is a friend, or an acquaintance. Every child afraid to leave the confines of their home scared of what could happen. Distrust and fear engulfed all of us.
Never did we feel not afraid of who is around the corner. None know other then the war.
The War has left the world scarred and damaged. But I believe that together we can repair the world, and stand together, a new era born.
From the ashes of Tragedy and Death, come the remnants of Peace and Harmony. In my absence, the world became unbalanced and corrupted. The world's people divided and misguided.
My awakening has begun. I once again walk the grounds of the Earth. My face recognisable by every man, woman and child.
Look around yourselves. Who is standing beside you? In front, or behind you? These are the faces of the new Earth. The New Age.
An age that shall be governed by Honesty, Trust and Peace. With your help, and the help of the Avatars before me. I hope to create a world of Peace and Happiness. Of Faith of Hope.
I could not have done what I have done, without the help of my friends." Aang gestured to those in the front row and then behind him.
"Or from the members of 'The White Lotus'. But most of all, I could not have defeated the Fire Lord, without the help of the new Fire Lord.
Please join me in a traditional Air bender thank you to the only person to whom I owe my Life. ZUKO!"
Zuko walked out onto the balcony as everyone bowed their heads in respect. Aang looked up.
"Zuko, Thank you, without you I may never have ended this war. It was you who motivated me into training. You who found me when I was gone. Thankyou Fire Lord Zuko, May you're deeds as Fire Lord, bring your honour, peace and happiness."
The two whom were now friends, fell into a hug, with the whole of the world watching on in aw e.
All knew that the beginning of a New Era. Had just begun.
