An Angel's Demise
Blood…
Plentiful tears and blood
Spilled forth from the angel's body
The assailant smiled
As he watched her fading away
A cruel laugh escaped him into the air
She'd fought valiantly
Like him she had searched the sword
She'd had only the purest of intentions at heart
That was how they differed
All he wanted was infinite power
Power that the cursed sword promised to provide
And so it had been
In a struggle of good versus evil
The strength of wickedness had prevailed
This girl…
This priestess of the wind
Now lay bleeding as she finally died
The Azure Knight smiled
As he stood over her lifeless figure
He held the cursed sword up toward the sky
One moment later
The whole ordeal had come to an end
His task complete, he walked away slowly
It was true
Her soul had been strong
But it was not near strong enough
In looking at the big picture…
One strong soul would never be enough
The sword's hunger for souls could never be quelled
Ixi: Wow! That was my first Soul Calibur poem in ages! I don't know if it is any good as it was born of yet another restless night. Anyhow, in case you hadn't been able to figure it out, the "angel" is Talim and obviously the murderer is Nightmare. Hope you enjoyed my strange scenario that I literally finished writing at midnight. Please be sure to leave a review even if it's just to say that it sucks.
