The night was dark and dreary, the perfect conditions for two young tricksters named Harry and Ron.

"So, you ready to pay Peeves back for stealing your glasses, Ron?" the red-head asked, clearly knowing the answer.

"I'm ready. The real question is, are you?"

"Of course I am! What did you expect?" Harry asked accusingly.

Ron laughed. "Well, wouldn't your mom kill you for pulling a stunt like this? I mean, my dad probably wouldn't care, but…"

Harry cut him off. "Just because my mom is a stickler for rules doesn't mean that…"

"Hey, c'mon, c'mon. You know I was just watching out for you mate," Ron interrupted.

"Yeah, yeah. I know. C'mon, let's get moving. You have your invisibility cloak, right?"

"Are you kidding me? Of course I do!" Ron shouted.

"Do you Potters always carry that thing around?" asked Harry.

"Of course not. There's only one you know. Here, cover yourself. We should get going."

Harry and Ron slipped out of the Gryffindor Common Room with mischievous grins plastered on their faces. Finally, Peeves would get what he deserved. Unfortunately, as most tricksters do, Harry and Ron made a mistake. It seemed that Harry had grown a little too tall and lanky for the invisibility cloak.

"Weasley! Potter!"

It was Professor McGonagall. Their plan was foiled. She walked over to the two of them and tore off the invisibility cloak.

'Damn it! My dad's going to kill me,' was all that was running through Ron's feeble brain, but it appeared Harry was still confused.

"Professor, how did you know?" he questioned.

"Well, Mr. Weasley, it just so happens that your lanky frame caused me to see your large feet protruding from out of nowhere. You two should be more careful next time." Ron and Harry groaned.

"Oh, and Mr. Potter, I will be informing your father as well as your mother about your very similar disregard for the rules. I should have known you would be just like him when you became Seeker."

"So…you won't be informing my family about this, right, Professor McGonagall?" Harry begged.

"You are quite incorrect, Mr. Weasley. I will be speaking one on one with your mother. It's always an advantage when a mother is a teacher at this very school." Harry groaned as Ron chuckled beside him, but McGonagall was not finished yet.

"Oh, and the both of you will meet me in my office every day this week for detention."

It was then that Ronald Potter and Harry Weasley knew they would have to ask their uncles Fred and George how they managed to sneak around the castle unseen.
