My heart beating;
my face blushing;
it took my breath away.
My emotions overflowing;
my body trembling;
it took my confidence away.
We stood there alone but apart,
I, staring at him,
deep in his hazel eyes,
there was something there,
Something I could not understand;
and I wanted to know.
Searching for meaning,
I stared curiously upon his face.
My mind was aching for answers
and I longed to ask him,
but something stopped me
and suddenly I stared at my feet.
He took a step and another
with the moon shining brightly above;
It followed his gentle footsteps
And closer he came to me.
I could feel his breath
as his hand reached my chin,
and gently forced me to look up.
I stared into his eyes again,
my mind ceasing its flowing thoughts.
I said nothing,
But a short gasp that left my lips.
I knew there was more to this,
But I did not know what it was.
He studied my face,
As though I was a creature of interest.
I could not help but feel captivated.
Then, he leaned ever more closely;
I knew now, I knew now
and the world went silent.
Tall beech trees danced around us,
While the wind slithered past.
This was real to believe,
for every satisfying kiss,
Led to a new beginning.
And I felt myself quiver
with the longing experience.
In the end
our hands were held together,
three small words gluing them.
I could never leave his side now
for he led me away, far away,
Out of the lonely darkness.
My heart beats;
my face blushed;
it brought back my breath.
My emotions overflowed;
my body trembled;
it brought back my confidence.
I am whole once again.

This poem I have given to you has been edited from the really crappy version I wrote in 2008. So, I think I did okay editing this if you are reading this now xD . Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you could tell me what you thought of this poem.
