1) The Room
Burning tears stream down my face as I sit next to him.
His face looks so cold, hidden in the darkness, slipping away. Today is suppose to be his last day and he's stuck in this god forsaking room.
I want to take him away, far away, where disease and misery can not reach us. A place full of adventure and mystic beauty.
Instead he's stuck in this dull room, far from happiness, and more close to death. I know that's not what he would have wanted. Not to be stuck here, rotting away.
I cross my arms over the bed and gently lay my head over them. Drifting to sleep.
"Eliz-a-beth."
My eyes suddenly flashed open. Lifting my head I saw him with his eyes barely open.
"Will!," leaning over to hug him. He was so frail. So weak.
He wasn't always like that. He used to be strong and sun kissed from sailing day and night. His face would even turn a bright, cherry red when he blushed. With his boyish face and grayish eyes, he could easily be mistaken for a Leonardo De Caprio look alike. The Will before me now had snow white skin and a boney structure. His cheekbones visible to a high extent and two hollow eyes staring back at me.
"I'm sorry Elizabeth," he looked up at me with his taunting eyes ", I'm sorry for putting you threw this."
Another tear came ", You shouldn't be the one apologizing. It's your last day and you 're stuck here with me in this damn room! You haven't experienced life! You haven't seen beautiful places or accomplished any dreams!"
This time smiling, he looked directly into my eyes and said, " I would rather be here with you than any other place in the world. I would give up all my dreams, just to see you smile. If it's with you, I couldn't die happier. Elizabeth Swan, I love you."
More tears started flowing down my face. " I love you too."
With that, he smiled and closed his eyes; drifting into an eternal sleep.
