You're... Q?

Q stared at Q, wondering what the hell just happened.

Q stared back, wondering just what Q was up to, while Q watched them both from the sidelines.

"My head hurts." Harry complained from also watching this, causing Q to ask why.

"Can't you take different names? You know, 'Hi, I'm H Q...'," Harry winced at the pun, "Doesn't even have to be just a letter of the alphabet..."

Q shared looks with the other Q, then shrugged.

"Call me John." 'John' Q said. That is, the Q that most of starfleet knew the 'appearance' of. "A human male in another reality who looks like me, and plays me in a TV show, in fact."

"I may as well just go with Tom, like always." 'Tom' Q spoke. Then asked, "I gotta take a look at who plays me." He did his... version of the clicking-fingers, and within seconds reappeared, two fingers pointed upwards, with a grin on his face. "Interesting other universe."

'John' Q nodded.

The other Q's began to take names, some good, some ridiculous.

John turned back to Tom, to continue wondering what the hell happened.

"What?"

"You're ... a Q."

"Yeah, you sound like you're surprised."

"I... am. Odd sensation, not felt it in a long time. For me anyway."

Tom nodded. "So you didn't make me one?"

"No. Although I think all of starfleet would gasp in horror at the thought of you with our power."

Harry nodded, he had indeed gasped in horror when he learned Tom had become Q.

Become *a* Q, anyway.

Harry had to say something, "What's that hand signal you do, like when... 'John' clicks his fingers?"

Tom grinned, a true shit-eating one. Although the brown specs on his mouth appearing were a bit much.

"It's an insult, I believe. Twentieth Century earth, if I'm not mistaken, which given I am omnipotent, I know I am right."

Tom grinned after a second, and Harry noticed that 'John' wasn't speaking despite trying.

Then he waved his fingers in his 'tell tale' sign of using Q powers, and said, "I gotta love the cross-temporal aspects of this. Now if you excuse me, I think I have a few villains to give wedgies to."

AN: Just read a story with Janeway becoming a Q after death, and getting Tom to be one too at the end of said fic. I decided on doing it the otherway around, although... well... hmm. nevermind. Just Tom as Q. Leaving off the J/P stuff for this one.
