A/N: Hello there everyone! I decided that Armin and Eren needed some peaceful moments together with few words spoken in between them. But really, Samurai Champloo's soundtrack is absolutely perfect for writing. I highly recommend it for inspiration. Anyways, enough of this! I hope you enjoy my writing and if you come by any errors please excuse them. But I had actually proofread it this time so you might not see many. Happy reading!

It was always nice when Armin could get Eren to calm down like this. He wasn't raving about titans, fighting with Jean, or yelling at Mikasa to back off. He was just sitting quietly beside Armin as the blond boy read the book silently to himself. He could feel Eren's eyes on him as he read, though he didn't mind. Eren would frequently watch Armin read books and sometimes Mikasa would tag along and sit on the other side of Armin.

Yes, it was very nice like this. Outside under the shade of a tree with a cool breeze flowing by. The sky was clear and the birds were singing to one another. It was almost hypnotic, this atmosphere. Everyone was spending their time the way they wanted. And Armin loved spending it like this, right here on this very hill, with Eren. It always seemed a little bit brighter with Eren at his side as he reads the day away. He wasn't sure if it was his practically overwhelming presence, his surprising bouts of quietness, or if it was just Eren. All he knew was that this was when he felt most at peace.

Armin sighed contently and looked up at the sky, a small smile on his lips. A cool breeze flowed through his hair and some got in his eyes but he didn't care. He was far too peaceful to care. He watched as a dragonfly drifted lazily by and felt Eren's eyes move to watch it go. As soon as it was gone Eren was watching Armin again as he returned to his book.

Eren slid his hand into Armin's and he grasped it tightly. It was Eren's turn to sigh gently. He placed his head on Armin's shoulder and let out a loud yawn, re-positioning himself, getting comfortable on the soft grass. Green eyes finally left Armin's face and Armin felt a little colder without his warm stare on him even as his soft brown hair tickled his cheek and neck.

Time passed by slowly as Armin flipped page after page and Eren continued to yawn harder and louder. The sun was setting as the two of them continued to sit together under the tree. Fewer cadets and higher-ups were roaming around, all going back to the barracks. Armin didn't want to get up despite the fact that his bum and shoulder had gone numb long ago. He was happy here with Eren. But they did have to go back eventually. They, sadly, can't stay there forever.

Or maybe we can," Armin whispered lightly to himself as he watched Eren sleeping peacefully on his shoulder, mouth slightly open.

He couldn't possibly disrupt Eren's sleep. It's been a while since Eren was able to sleep as soundly as this with the titans and trauma he had faced throughout his life. Armin thought it best to let him sleep. And he may as well sleep with him, here, on this hill with the darkening sky and cool breeze flowing by.

So he did.
