Nadia always wakes first.
She lies in bed next to her husband and just looks at him sleeping. It's the only time he looks completely open; the only time he lets his guard down.
They love each other, yes, but she knows that there is a part of him that is hidden from her, and she can't help but think it has to do with that plane crash that he won't talk about. She's seen the looks he's exchanged with the other five, and she knows what a lie looks like because she's lied too, for many years.
She doesn't say anything though, just as she does not bring up their past in Iraq. Some things are not to be shared.
Sayid wakes then and smiles when he sees her. She can see the guard snap down over his eyes, but he kisses her anyway as if nothing is wrong. As if there is nothing they need to say to each other that has not been said.
Nadia doesn't have the heart to correct him.
