It was a sunny day as Ben Grimm was flying around New York City in the new-and-improved Fantasti-Car. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a big flash of purple lightning appeared in the sky.

"That isn't right." commented Ben.

A spine-shivering shriek erupted through the air.

"Uh oh. I better call Reed." thought Ben. As he polled his cell out of a compartment in the vehicle, the Fantasti-Car stopped moving and began plummeting toward the ground.

"OUT OF THE WAY!!!" shouted Ben as a crowd of people rushed to safety. Just before the Fantasti-Car hit the ground, Ben jumped out and landed on the sidewalk. CRASH! The Fantasti-Car went as it smashed into an empty taxi and caught fire.

"Everybody, step away from the flames!" yelled Ben to the onlookers.

"Poor Ben. Trying to help the innocents I see." said a voice that calmly drifted through the air.

As Ben saw who had said this, his heart almost stopped. There, across the street, stood Dr. Doom.

"That's it. I beat you once and I can do it again!" exclaimed Ben.

"Oh no. What am I going to do?" Dr. Doom sarcastically said. Ben rushed at him, but Dr. Doom sidestepped away from him. Doom picked up the burning taxi with ease, and tossed it at Ben as though it was a piece of scrunched up paper. Doom pressed a button on his belt, and suddenly, a strike of purple lightning zapped Ben and himself to a stone dungeon.

"Where are we?" asked Ben.

"We are at my castle in Latveria. And now, I shall destroy you, and you will remain here as my captive until I have brought the rest of your team here as well. Then, I will kill you all, and I shall have my revenge!" shouted Doom. Then, Dr. Doom emerged from the shadow on the left side of the room.

"Hang on a minute," said Ben, "How can there be two of you?"

"Oh, I assure you, you have much more to worry about than that." said a third Dr. Doom.

"What's goin' on?" asked a confused Ben.

"These are my Doom-Bots. They are exactly like me in every way. That is, except for the fact they are artificial machines that respond to me, and only me. Doom-Bots, hold him down!" ordered Dr. Doom, as the robots grabbed Ben and pushed him into the wall behind him, where two more Doom-Bots were waiting to hold his hands in place with adamantium bonds.

"Let me out!" shouted Ben.

"Not until I capture the rest of you. You see, after our battle, even though I was frozen alive, I was still able to think. I developed a plan, and built new gadgets. When I awoke, I came back to New York, and now that I have, I will have my revenge." said Doom.

"But, why?" asked Ben.

"Because I am one of those people who must always get even. And I will not stop until my plan is complete." answered Doom.

He left the room, but, just as he walked through the doorway, he called over and said, "Don't even bother trying to escape. Those bonds are adamantium, the invincible metal. But if you somehow to break free, my Doom-Bots will be waiting for you.
