As I am writing this I am listening to Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Lorde… My inspiration.
…..
No stars glistened in the night sky as the dark tabby was born. His mother took one look at him and she knew. She knew the truth.
"My poor son… So weak…. I will name him Tigerkit, for if he goes to StarClan, he will go with a strong name." She whispered. The weak kit stumbled up to his mother. Do not fret, mother. He thought. I am not weak. I will become the strongest cat in the forest. You just watch. And that was that.
So this story is about Tigerkit.
…
"Thistleclaw, it is time for you to take on an apprentice. You will mentor Tigerkit. I expect you to teach him honor and courage, and turn him into a fine warrior." Sunstar meowed. You do not teach someone honor and courage! Tigerpaw growled inwardly. They earn it!
Thistleclaw looked down at Tigerpaw. "Are you okay, Tigerpaw?" He meowed. He narrowed his eyes. "If you're worrying about some apprentice duty, crush those feelings down. By worrying you aren't going to get anywhere."
Tigerpaw looked up at him. "So if I don't worry, I can become the strongest cat in the forest?"
Thistleclaw straightened up, and impressed look on his face. "Yes, you can. Now let me show you some fighting moves…"
…..
"Tigerpaw, you will now be known as Tigerclaw. StarClan honors your strength and courage. You are now a full warrior of ThunderClan." Bluestar meowed. She rested her muzzle on Tigerclaw's head, and he licked her shoulder in return.
He stepped forward and looked at the crowd of cats as they yowled his name. He purred. This is where it starts… Thistleclaw taught me well. He padded toward the camp entrance and sat down. Suddenly, a cat appeared and instead of attacking it, he padded up to it.
"Are you ready?" Tigerclaw asked.
"Yes, we are ready." The cat replied. Many other cats, she-cats and toms, started to fill the area behind him. "We are very ready."
"You have the fox ready?"
"Yes."
"Good." Tigerclaw purred. "Give them a moment to rest before you attack."
"Yes sir."
The sun slipped further down and the moon slipped higher up as the cats waited.
The leader of the rogues glared at Tigerclaw. "When do we attack?"
Tigerclaw stared at him. Stop hesitating and just give the command! Tigerclaw pushed down his worries and he took a breath. "Attack."
….
What is your idea of complete and utter chaos? Is it the busy streets of which you live or is it when there is a big crime going on? Is it the busyness when you have guests visiting? My idea is the exact battle that was going on in ThunderClan camp.
The ThunderClan cats thought that they were safely protected, but in reality, they were not.
The rogues busted in and chaos erupted, warrior stumbling sleepily to guard the nursery. Others were rushing to defend the elders, and the rogues just scratched and bit at any cat who passed by, until they had enough room to attack properly.
And where was Tigerclaw during all of this? You might wonder. He was working on a cover up for this unexpected attack. I'll scratch myself up a bit, then I'll go back. He decided. Soon blood was dripping down his pelt and he padded back, hissing at ever few cats, telling them to leave. Then the camp was empty.
"Tigerclaw," Bluestar meowed coming up to him. "What happened?"
Now his story came in. "I was guarding the entrance, then the rogues attacked and I was too hurt to fight… I'm sorry, Bluestar. I am a failure."
Bluestar looked at him. "No, you aren't." She meowed. "In fact, good job. You tried to protect you're clan." The cats began to chant his name again, and Tigerclaw looked up at the stars. I'm on my way. I will be Tigerstar.
And that ended out pretty crappy… Hope you enjoyed, and happy early Independence Day! And that was really short too… :( Oh well.
See ya!
