Title: Electrical
Disclaimer: Don't own any of the characters
Summery: Noelle and Reed. I bet i'm not the only one seeing the potential...
If you don't like same sex couples then don't read! Be warned.
The library was closed by the time Noelle joined Reed in the history section, but as always, that didn't stop her entering.
Reed was sitting in a chair, facing the door and reading a book on Psychological problems.
"What?" Noelle shook her head, hair falling perfectly over her face like always, "Still think you're going crazy?" the smile on her face was happy yet the tone of voice challenging and scathing at the same time.
Reed glanced up and smiled slightly, marking the page she was on before closing the book and setting it down on the oak table next to her. Noelle sat on one of the chairs opposite Reed, watching as the girl shifted uncomfortably.
"Aww c'mon Reed!" She smiled serenely, leaning back to watch the light of the torch dance along the rafters high above, "You're not still nervous around me, are you?"
Reed, as always, denied the slight shaking that occurred whenever the slightly older girl was around. Looking down at her feet again, Noelle made a mental note to buy the girl some new shoes. Shoes were the cure for the soul.
New shoes could almost guarantee happiness.
But then so could hugs.
Noelle leaned over and hugged Read, almost enjoying the way she stiffened in surprise because the hugs that Noelle gave out were not just hugs, normal hugs didn't make your skin tingle, normal hugs did not accelerate your heart, normal hugs didn't make you wish you could kiss the soft pouty lips that blonged on the sometime bitch queen's face, along with every of her amazingly beautiful features.
No, Noelle didn't give normal hugs to Reed, to everyone els,e maybe but not Reed, she got hte special hugs, hugs reserved for lovers, boyfriends, husbands. Reed was somehow included in that catagory though how she got there she couldn't guess.
All she knew was that she wanted to stay there.
With Noelle.
With her kisses, rare but gratifying.
Hugs that could make the hardest man, woman, or god be glad to be in her presence.
The way Noelle spoke, voice full of confidence, protectiveness and the emotion that was almost love, almost not.
She was like electricity to Reed's house. She needed the light that Noelle gave off, the warmth it provided. The way tjhat Reed almost lit up with Noelle's brillience all the time, everyday, hour and minute they were together.
In the end that was all that mattered, not the fact that they were both girls, or that Noelle was rich whilst Reed was poor. How Noelle's confidence was worn on her face, in her movements and in the way she dressed, how Reed could stand up for something she believed in and yet still feel nervous when facing the teen she was still hugging.
Noelle had decided she wanted Reed, Reed just went along with it. She knew that it was what she wanted but mroe importently it was what Noelle wanted.
And what Noelle wants, Noelle always gets.
Including Reed.
