The shadow ran across the rooftop, leaping and dodging the different smokestacks as it followed the person running frantically down the street, knocking over helpless people and different carts in the slums of the city.

The man looked up just in time to see the shadow of the person leap off the roof and into the street in front of him. And as he halted just before it, He saw the person raise their head, bright piercing blue eyes, the only indicator that it was really a person and not a wrathful spirit.

"For your crimes, your sentence is death. Any last words?" the distinctly female voice asked as dual swords were drawn and held to his throat.

"W-who are you?" the man stuttered and he felt his heart speed up to the point were the females' eyes brightened in mirth as she began to hear it.

"Your about to die and you only question is who your executioner is? Silly man, Your question is denied." She said as he felt the skin on his neck tear apart and the ability to breath stop suddenly. And to make things worse, he watched her hand raise and start to clench, his heart following her hands process before being cut off. The blood stopped flowing, and he felt himself start to die. And the last thing he heard was her voice, whispering,

"I'm the little girl who's mother you murdered. I'm the last waterbender of the Southern Water tribe. You failed…."
