Genja was different. He wasn't like the others in Konoha. Genja was the kind of person who liked to be alone. It wasn't that he had a grudge, a dirty past, or hated people, but he just liked to think. Other people were too… social. Genja wanted peace and quiet to be alone with his thoughts. He rarely ever left his little home, a small house hidden in the quiet part of town where he never turned on the lights. He ate what he could find in the house, and went out to buy more about once a month. He would cover his head and try to be alone, but was unable due to the life in town.
Genja needed to make money somehow, though. His parents were killed by the nine-tailed beast years ago, but he didn't mind. His main concern when he was young was money. At 11, he became a ninja, doing solo missions, like retrievals and messenger jobs. But when the sound attacked, a year ago, he was forced to join a group, a team, needed to go on missions of bigger importance. But he hated people, so Genja took what he had left, and used it as long as he could in his small home. His money ran out eventually, which is why he was here with Team 7.
Genja didn't care for talking or disturbing his thoughts, finding the loud-mouth, orange wearing ninja obnoxious. The girl was OK, but she wouldn't leave him alone. Genja just wanted to be alone again, and think.
The mission was simple for the group. Split into pairs, and retrieve the information. Tsunade briefed Teams 7 and 76 on the three little monkeys. Each statue held valuable information; so valuable that it had to be hidden in three parts. One statue held the visuals or the information. The second contained sound and the third little monkey was how you could view or hear the information.
The pairs were decided by Tsunade. She paired up Naruto and Jurosu to retrieve the blind idol.
Sakura and Hasuko were to get the mute monkey.
Sudaru and Genja were to get the deaf idol.
The three pairs went off in separate directions at the same time, but before they left, the fifth Hokage gave one word of advice: "Don't forget, we need all three idols to get the information, so none of you mess up"
"But if an idol gives information through visuals" asked Naruto. "Why is it called the blind idol?"
Tsunade replied "don't worry about that, just make sure however far away you are from each other, and grab it at the same time. Let's agree now, 6:00 tomorrow night."
It might be a while before the next chapters. School is stupid.
