I took my son's hand as we walked inside. His eyes widened and glowed as he looked around. A big smile spread across his face. "Its so big!" He said. I smiled. I knelt down and gave him a hug. "Your growing up so fast..." I said. He turned around as his friends came running over. "Come on, Timothy!" They said. I stood up. "You should go play. It is your seventh birthday today, isn't it." He looked up and smiled. "Mommy, can you hold my Golden Freddy toy for me?" I took it from his hands and smiled. "Of course, sweetie." He gave me a last hug and ran off with his friends.
I walked up to the phone where I called my boss to ask when our next meeting was. Then I felt a shuffle and looked down to see my son tugging on my skirt. "Mommy! Mommy!" He said. "Honey, I'm talking to my boss on the phone. I love you." I said. He nodded. "I love you too, mom." And he ran off. I smiled and went back to my conversation. I turned back to see him watching the show on the stage. I sighed and continued to talk.
