Science Boyfriends! :D Tony loves Steve, Bruce pines until somehow Tony ends up loving him?
It wasn't like there was anything Bruce could do about it, the constant flirting while they worked in the labs, the frivolous teasing between the two, how could he not start to fall in love with Tony Stark? Problem was, Tony was in love with Steve. And how could "The Hulk" compare to "Captain America," one was a giant green rage monster, the other was a superhero created by Stark's dad.
He tried to not let his crush get in the way of his work, but he flinched every time Tony touched him. He watched as Steve and Tony fought again, he saw the lust in Tony's eyes, the lust he himself had for the other man. Generally now he tried to avoid being around either one for a great length of time, he still wasn't sure how "the other guy" responded to love and jealousy. What he didn't expect was for Tony to notice his absence.
"Dr. Banner," Tony came up behind him and wrapped his arms around his shoulders, "I do suspect that you have been avoiding me as of late, would you agree?" Bruce just shrugged out of Tony's hold and went back to work. This made the other man rather pissed. "I'll take that as a yes then? What have I done? If I've hurt you or upset you I am really sorry"
"It's not anything you've done Tony, it's me. And yes I know it sounds like a cop out but it's not. You haven't done a thing wrong."
"Then why avoid me?" Tony sounded sad and it hurt Bruce to have made him feel like that, he couldn't hide it anymore
"Because it kills me to see you flirt with Steve all the time okay?" He snapped.
There was a slight silence while all the cogs in Tony's head worked out the new information before… "Aww Bruce, you're jealous"
At this the man went a lovely colour of red and turned away. Tony came up behind him, looped his arms around his waist and turned him round. Once they were face to face Tony leant in and pressed a small but firm kiss to Bruce's lips before chuckling "I love you too, dumbass"
