Hey everyone! Long time no write, eh? Hope all is well with everyone here and I'm glad to be writing this. It's been a while since my last, well, anything on here really. However, I was recently thinking about this place and happened to check my folder for email from here. Interestingly enough, someone commented on my story "Rhythm of the Jungle" today saying that they wanted me to keep writing. I just have to say I was really happy to see that, despite my hiatus, there are still (well at least one) people out there waiting to hear the conclusion to my story! I totally understand the feeling too. Nothing is worse than when someone stops writing a story you like in the middle. So I'm sorry for that. The good news though is that I really don't like to leave work unfinished, especially if other people want to see it. I wanted to put a nice quote from a famous author here saying something about not finishing a story, but I couldn't find anything. So, for future reference, I made my own you all are welcome to use.
"An unfinished story is like an unfinished meal. If you leave it when it is at the peak enjoyment, it will get stale." – EgilMaster
Tell me if that good or not. Or make your own?
Anywho, I will be finishing Rhythm of the Jungle. And I would also like to thank the Guest who commented! As long as there is at least one person who wants to read my story, I will write. Writing is like sharing a little bit of yourself with a stranger. We all can connect together through reading and writing, even if it's only tacit. I'll probably update this page with a more specific date as to when the next chapter will be coming. But before I go, I thought I might as well leave you with a little taste of what is to come…
Sneak Peek
With every step taken through the dark, ashes from the fire birthed their concealed embers which were lurking below the cool, grey crust. The flickering fireflies which were expelled, danced into the air as the harbinger which illuminated the path forward. But to what? What could possibly be left for him in this new world? After the events which had just unfolded, any pretense of a better life was shattered. Nothing but the thought of "what once was" fueled his body now. Nothing could ever fill the desolate void left in his corpse, now chained to this world by nothing more than life. Nothing mattered now that his entire entity was left without a purpose. Just as a brief breeze may oust a flame, so did the loss of his world desolate his purpose. But as he clenched the scattered ashes in his talon, the seemingly unreasonable premonition that a strange juxtaposition of life would soon occur, singed his thoughts. It engraved a sense of hope which had eluded him prior. Despite the fact that all was lost, a new hope emerged. The previous blow was not a knockout, but instead the end of the second round. The score was tied, and the final opportunity to overcome his opponent became a real ambition. So much was lost, yet so much was gained. One must reach the end of the line before changing trains. If there was any possibility, any at all, that he could regain what was lost ...

He straightened his posture, and looked far ahead into the distance. He felt that this may a hopeless endeavor, but something urged him to the conclusion that it must be attempted. The macaw narrowed the skin around his brown eyes and affixed his gaze at an object in the distance. He lightly exhaled a few words to himself, as if it were the first time speaking in an eternity,
"I need to find Xavier"
Yep, that's all for now. Sorry if this was a little long of a post, but I haven't said much in a while so I'm making up for it. Thanks for reading everyone, and have a great rest of your day! EgilMaster is back!
