Prologue: Broken Boy
I was born an innocent
A boy misunderstood
Until I met a village girl
Who made my childhood.
It was then the thorns were set
Ready
Aim
Prick.
And then the wall came tumbling down
A broken boy won't stick.
Don't eat from a candy house
A broken boy can't break
But when the bow does - cradle falls
And broken boy won't wake.
A spell, a spell, the evil wench
She made a broken frog
A croak, a croak, the warty thing
was lost within a bog.
To find a girl whose vanity
Is all that she can see
But for the cursèd wicked one
They're happy as can be
A boy, a frog, a spell and hence
That broken boy became a prince
